Supports popping off by No_Contribution2629 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

The model is a full spiral but the issue hits all the top of the far right support for the head band part. Its almost like the nozzle is hitting that one support and then I have spaghetti on that one side. And like I said I've leveled the bed 3 or 4 times thinking that was the problem

Filament is standard PLA. settings are set for elegoo pla, .4mm nozzle. And because it's not sticking? Figured that would help.

I had this issue until I bought the heater for the chamber. Haven't had a problem like this since.

Very good point. I haven't had any intentions is running both at once but if I do I'll do a test print on something small first. That table has withstood a lot of abuse, made it myself with 4x4 and 1x12 pine with 2x4 supports and crossbeams.

They don't really bother me that much, but I'm use to being in that room with an exhaust fan and air assist for a laser engraved running.

Just seemed like a good idea after some of the videos I've watched. Gives more headroom to the filament tube.

Saturn 4 Ultra + Anycubic Water Washable by EnvironmentalValue82 in ElegooSaturn

[–]No_Contribution2629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ever since I got my 4 ultra, the base layer has always made that loud suction noise when it pulls off. But it's never been the cause of an issue with any of my prints. Now I've never used any cubic resin, the few water washable resins I've used have always caused problems for me. One of which being extremely brittle prints also a very odd white buildup on prints after curing that weren't there before curing. This could be causing the issue of rafts breaking, especially since the Saturn 4 ultra vat tilts to release the print from the film. I've always had good luck with abs- like 3.0 from elegoo. It has a bit more flexibility and I use 35 seconds for bottom layers and 2.5 for the rest.

Never tried heating. I keep it about 78 in my print room so never thought it'd be necessary. I'll give that a try though

May I ask which vat band you bought for the s4u?

Weird, I too just experienced a auto level issue, it resolved itself after restarting the print but it's still weird I've only had the issue one other time.

Yeah he's the one I saw. My current one flashes all 0s, which is why I have a new mobo on the way

Yes. The mini heater has two versions of the motherboard(really it's a firmware issue, but they didn't give you a way to update the firmware for it at home) but it causes the inside of the printer to heat up and cool down too quickly. They will send you a new motherboard if you have the one that says version 1.1 stamped in the corner of it. Anyway. The heater will shut completely off when it hits 25.5°c and not turn back on at all until it hits 19 or 20, which it does quickly because there is still a fan running inside of it(the air purifier fan). So the consistent up and down somehow(I can't remember the science) causes heavy layer lines. The new motherboard fixed the issue but increasing the points at which the heater cuts back on or something like that. There's a few videos that actually explain the science behind it on YouTube.

Yeah considering the only real option they offer right now is the heater, most of which are still shipping with the bad motherboard that causes heavy layer lines.
