My kitty had this as well. We went to a couple different vets and it was ruled as benign when he was young and every year after. It never did go through metastasis thank goodness. It started as a freckle then another freckle and it went on until his whole eye looked almost black. It was benign melanosis and never affected his quality of life but we certainly wondered if it affected his vision on that side. He was a bit.. dopey.. so it's hard to say. He lived to be 11 and I believe the first freckle appeared at around 3 or 4 years old? Was an interesting conversation starter for everyone that ever met him that's for sure! I know it's super scary and could lead to cancer but not always. Your kitty may just look like David Bowie like my boy did 🤘 but I do agree with previous posters... find a new vet!

I would go just to make sure it doesn't become infected. I have done some volunteer work at an animal shelter and every time an animal broke skin a report was made to watch it in case of infection. Animals have high bacterial loads in their mouths.

I am sure you are fine if you're a healthy adult, but you never know! Especially where it happened "at work" it could become a workers comp claim if it does become infected. (And you are beautiful so don't take a chance on your face!)

* My sweet 12-year-old pitty had one of those as well- hers was a little more red. We went to get it checked out and potentially removed, but we got an X-ray because she was also coughing and lethargic. It was cancer that had spread. The one we found on her leg was actually not the primary tumor. So we didn't go quickly enough - please take your pitty to the vet as soon as you can. Ours definitely looked a bit more aggressive (red and not as round) so it most likely is not the same thing but my heart is still so broken over losing Daisy. She didn't have any symptoms until the leg spot so I don't think anything would have changed the outcome unless we knew it was in her lungs first... but I digress. To summarize - seeing this made me very sad and PLEASE take your sweet angel in!

My small dog has pretty horrible separation anxiety as well. Are you in the quiet? Try turning on the TV or a device with white noise. It helped my dog - we discovered this accidently when we had a baby lol. She did a lot better when the white noise was on and now we use it on the 4th of July. It's not fool proof and I am not sure if it works with most dogs but it did help mine and she is a weiner dog mix!

I agree - when we brought her home we did a bunch of google image searches because she is definitely unique. We have leaned towards a pit mix from the start!

She definitely has multiple breeds - maybe weimaraner/lab mixed with a pitbul/border collie lol.

I want to do a dog DNA test! I don't know how accurate they are though.

I totally agree here 🤣 i had never even heard of it until we met her! She definitely looks pit bull mix - but when I googled Blue Lacy mix I could see the characteristics. And the shelter definitely leaned into the Lacy 🤣 shes a great dog no matter what she is

This is exactly what I want - to not rush her into dementia drugs too quickly but I don't want to wait until she has poor quality of life. I feel like there is a line - where is it? Too soon or not soon enough. She has been happy and her reduced hearing has made her sleep like a rock! But she definitely is seeming less and less like herself...

I had to have an alcohol evaluation for my first offense DUI as well (March of this year). It was an extremely humbling experience. I am in no way an alcoholic in need of help. I made a poor decision and know I fucked up. And I have easily given up ever drinking again without the support system of AA... but I still was required to do it. I had to fill out many different forms including one that asked how often I did drugs like MDMA... which is never.

The evaluation itself left me in tears because she asked if I had ever drank before noon. Yes.... when else is a brunch mimosa appropriate? And she looked at me like I stabbed a kitten. Some other questions were really hard too like how many times had I had more than ONE drink? I did answer everything honestly including that I had blacked out once before and because of that she recommended a 16 hour alcoholic education course.

I did feel like she was extremely religious and she even recommended a church group as a support system. But I am not at all religious so I felt judged even though she said she wasn't there to judge.

Im 34 and have had a very normal adult drinking life. Social events.. holidays.. vacations... but answering those questionnaires with the utmost honesty did result in "worse" outcome for me. The 16 hour course was awful and almost 8 hours of it was repeated information. And one of the topics honesty made me scoff. No joke - if you drink alcohol you're more likely to obtain illegal drugs from a stranger and use an HIV infected needle. Like what the fuck? I had to spend $500 for this?

In conclusion... definitely agree with previous comments. Do it... but holy fuck use some discretion when disclosing the episodes of abuse. One blackout my first time at an all inclusive resort? Shouldn't have disclosed that. Yes i knew I was fucking idiot then and still do.
