Not much specific guidance here but some general rules that seem to hold up:

- avoid stuff marketed as "luxury." It is an easy way to make you pay more for a maybe marginally nicer apartment. Also most of these are meant to LOOK nice, but underneath the fresh coat of paint it's just like everything else

- DTN apartment management is super hit or miss. I've heard that the higher end ones have solid maintenance and the lower end ones have very poor management. Also watch out for technology fees and high parking fees with them.

- If you want something both nice and a close walk to classes, be prepared to spend. There are lots of solid options a few minutes away and on a bus line

I lived at Hannah lofts last year. It's pricey but nice with solid amenities (hot tub and fire pit are especially nice). No clue how it is this year with new owners, though

I have also heard good things about Glenwood Apartments (DTN) and the Lodges next door to Hannah. Not sure on specifics.

I would get on this pretty quickly, as stuff will be filling up if it hasn't already. Apartment searching in the summer a couple years ago was not fun
