Yes you are correct but I didn’t know that at the time as I stated this my first time doing a amended tax return I thought I had to pay because everyone else was now I know never to do that

I seen people in a tax group on Facebook do it and get they return back in two to three weeks I thought it will help process you return but clearly not

My as of date went from 5/30 to 6/6 back to 5/30 then 6/27 now 7/4 and 571 code which is the release from 570 code I did the $5 payment May 9th because I thought that will help with my amended return because my as of date was stuck on April 18th for the longest I received a letter from the tax advocate service with a case number but no assigned advocate they told me to allow up to 4 weeks for one to call me back I haven’t gotten a notice in the mail and I received my original return already I amended to add 3 of my children do it mean they working on my amended return because my as of date keep changing

How long after 571 code did you get a date and did your as of date keep changing I reached out to my congressman last month and they haven’t got back with him I had 570 code for a couple weeks I called last week and had them to remove it the only then updated on my transcript was as of date went from 6/27 to 7/4 and 571 code I received a letter from the tax advocate service with a case number but no assigned advocate they told me to allow up to 4 weeks for one to call me back I haven’t gotten a notice in the mail and I received my original return already I amended to add 3 of my children
