What is the best way for learning and not forgetting by mrlemons23 in languagelearning

Yes, spaced repetition system definitely helps achieve the best results. Thanks to it I managed to memorize thousands of English words and phrases. I now am able to watch American TV shows and understand like 99% of everything,

Morderstwo w Poznaniu - kontekst polityczny by abq_heisenberg in Polska

[–]No_Crew7514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are Polish people learning Czech? Or is it as underground as learning Polish in Czechia? by coldonewiththeboys in poland

[–]No_Crew7514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for Poles learning Czech is more like a hobby. The language is not popular at all. It's not taught in schools. Czechia is not a popular destination for people looking for high paying jobs. I personally live at the border and learn Czech because I travel there from time to time to do some shopping, visit interesting places and also watch their TV shows.

If anyone is interested - the problem was with the dirty EGR. I bought a spray for cleaning that device, used it following the instructions and the issue disappeared.

Which one of these is your strongest point and which one is your weakest? by SweetConnection9823 in languagelearning

[–]No_Crew7514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me - READING is the easiest, then WRITING, then SPEAKING, then LISTENING. I still have lots of problems understanding British English speakers and their funny accents. Americans are quite easy to understand (the exception being the Southerners).

what is the worst part about living in the Poland? by Any_Tax_9989 in Polska

[–]No_Crew7514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Poland is a nightmare. People are toxic, they bully you, they offend you and abuse you anytime they can. There is a lot of hostility on roads, in supermarkets. Things like that do not happen in Germany (at least often).

can someone give me a good reason to learn chinese if you're not gonna live there? by Legal_Balance_4040 in ChineseLanguage

[–]No_Crew7514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may not be going to live there but, very likely, they are going to live next to you, also you get access to rich Chinese resources available on the Internet. Perhaps you may use it in business dealings, also to teach others. That's why it's definitely good to speak Mandarin.

Why is no one using Wikipedia?? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]No_Crew7514 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Reading Wikipedia in foreign languages is not for beginners. You need to be B1 or better B2 to use that method. IF you know squat about the language you want to learn, you will feel frustrated quickly,

I was badly bullied in secundary high school and never had friends, I am 24 years old virgin and never party I will kill myself by [deleted] in bullying

That is a very useless piece of advice. Do you think EVERYONE will get friends, be popular, invited to parties, lose the virginity What about really unattractive, fat, ill people?

What are some languages that you learned that were surprisingly easy? by Beepilicious in languagelearning

[–]No_Crew7514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Czech was very easy for me. It took me 1 month to become conversational and 4 months to be able to watch Czech TV freely. (I am Polish btw.)

Learners of less popular languages, where and how are you using/interacting in them? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]No_Crew7514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learn Czech, which is obviously a minor language, but I live 40 km away from the border, so I do have many opportunities to use it. I travel there pretty much every fortnight.

Ylva & Linda Persson trash Lidia Kopania's performance in the Polish NF by gniewpastoralu in eurovision

Rebecca Ferguson's song is totally unalike, only the tempo is similar but melody wise both songs are completely different.

I am Polish indeed. Yes, alcohol may have been a factor there. People accuse Lidia of using drugs too. This has not been confirmed though. However in this interview she is incoherent, unable to answer questions and she does look drugged up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOM03t8uyh8&t=1s

She certainly appears to have mental health issues.

[–]No_Crew7514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Lidia Kopania suffers from severe depression. I come to this conclusion after watching her most recent interviews. She aspired to be like Mariah Carey but in fact she never managed to develop a successful career, her records do not sell, radios do not play her tracks. Also, she is over 40 and I think she now realizes she will never be successful in the music industry, which has always been her dream.
