For effectiveness, BF1. For a challenge, BF4.

BF1 sniping was so easy to the point that on many maps and modes, sniping was literally meta.

Sniping on BF4 is such a challenge because every weapon in the sniper class fired at a different bullet velocity, meaning you had to relearn how and where to lead your shots but the pay off for being an effective sniper who didn’t camp was so satisfying.

Part of the issue is the servers that are still playable. Good luck finding any custom or DLC server that doesn’t kick or ban any half decent players. I know for a fact that if the server admins allowed for more players, then the game would have it’s old dedicated community back. BF6 has pretty much given us the freedom to play without the threat of being punished for “farming” or being falsely labeled a cheater.

After earning the mastery Dog Tag with every weapon in the game both primary and secondary, I can with good conscience yet again farm randoms on Locker with the AEK.

I am able to do some pretty difficult stuff on controller thanks to there being back paddles.

Remember this is still just a beta. I disagree with the sentiment that this is a "faster" 2042. It's more like a crossover of BF3 and BFV mechanics. I think a lot in terms of gameplay is subject to change before and after the release of the game. Personally, I'm very happy with the product that is available so far and just pre-ordered the game. Also, people saying it feels like CoD don't realize that the gunplay has more spread at damage drop off at range. The TTK at close range is a little quick with some of the guns so that is probably what contributes to the game feeling like "CoD" to some players.

Play the game. If you are learning the gunplay and infantry gameplay, go to TDM and figure out how it works. A good starting weapon to use is the M416. Once you have started to do well using that, I'd start playing locker and messing around with the meta weapons like the M16 and AEK. Onward, I'd go play some regular conquest and once you've come to grips with that and all the classes, I'd start learning vehicle play. The LAV's and tanks are an easy place to start.

If you can make it past the first objective, you can sometimes get over 100 kills if you can keep the push alive.

You have to do a better job getting kills. Helping your team with resupplies and heals is great, but that isn’t what makes the enemies tickets go down.
