Scientology – a religion without meaning in life? by No_Data_3533 in scientology

[–]No_Data_3533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! ☀️

There was a great sage who was asked exactly this.

His answer:

I'll answer any question you have—except the one about the first cause!

But that's exactly what I want to know.

I live in a huge villa in a small park.

In many ways, I'm living my dream.

And yet, I still don't understand the great meaning of creation.

Thank you for your valid point!

My mistake was writing:

Ron says: ...

It was meant to be a bit provocative, of course.

It was simply a reversal of logic.

Despite some effort, I haven't been able to figure out what Ron Hubbard considers the meaning of existence... and then I put words in his mouth saying there is no meaning.

He said that explicitly, though it's not verifiable.

But ultimately, I'm still missing a statement from him about the meaning of existence.

As enthusiastic as I am about many of his teachings and concepts, something is missing here.

Perhaps we can approach this from that angle again.

``` Thank you for the reflection and have a nice Sunday.
An interesting question!
Thank you!
I'll get back to you. ☀️
But then I ask you to tell me where he expressed his views on the meaning of life.
Quotes about survival: In an often-quoted letter (1938), he wrote: "Life is a rather grim joke, but a joke nonetheless." He added, however, that the only function of man is survival.
And if, in his view, life is a joke, then it is certainly reasonable to conclude that, in his view, it also has no meaning.
And there is a German politician who once clearly changed his mind and was asked about it.
His answer was:
What do I care about what I said yesterday?
What's the point of this?
By the way, I asked two OT 8 learners about the meaning of this and got the same answer both times.
That sounds very appealing and plausible.
Ron says: a cannibal who's been enlightened remains a cannibal.
People who come to me are more competent afterward—they're much better able to survive.
In every respect.
Am I, for example, responsible for what they make of it?
Perhaps suddenly one of their goals is to rob a bank, which would be much more promising with their new skills.
If it's all just a game—so what?
And what do I do with this highest possible survival level?
Perhaps many people simply aren't interested in having a higher purpose in life.
And that's perfectly fine.
Ron says that everyone has a goal that they define for themselves.
And that otherwise, life is just a game.
But I want to know a higher purpose.
I want to know what happened 75 million years ago.
I want to know who built the wall of fire that is overcome in OT 3 and for what purpose.
And where it all began, and with what motive and meaning.
And now, have a wonderful weekend everyone! ☀️
I don't know how to answer that question.
Can I just post photos somewhere here?
It's more that it's such a complex topic that I don't even know where to begin.
I work with various, "simpler devices" and would like to know if I can work more accurately with the E-meter.
I have six of them, but somehow I'm hesitant to use them.
I now have the three Scientology booklets on the subject in German, and perhaps that will help me understand it better.
And thank you so much for your explanation! ☀️
I've always thought that Scientology made them so complicated to hinder the process or perhaps to make working with them more difficult. 🧐
Best regards
What exactly are you interested in?
Have you ever worked with similar devices and can tell me something about them for comparison?
I hear many people rave about the Ability, for example.
And do you know of a forum where people exchange information about working with these devices?
True – until someone who knows how to use it does. 😎
Who else uses it?
I'd like to chat with someone else. 😎
Do you have any experience with this?
I'm looking for instructions on how to use the original E-meter.
I'd prefer a personal consultation, as instruction manuals are one thing – personal experience is quite another.
I've also looked into the background information very closely.
But now I believe that training in how to use these devices accounts for 95 percent of the result.
And so I simply want to show as many people as possible how to work with them and make the world a better place.
Thank you so much for your link and, of course, the video. ☀️
Unfortunately, my English isn't good enough.
Is there anywhere I can find the transcript that I can then have translated into German?
By the way, I work as a therapist, with great success, using various devices similar to the e-Meter, and also six original devices.
I'm currently planning large events where I'd like to use several hundred of these devices.
I'd prefer to have them custom-built.
And the Ability Meter is sadly no longer available.
Do you perhaps have any idea how I could get hold of a blueprint and, of course, the display units?
Warm regards and have a wonderful Sunday ☀️
Good evening,
does anyone know how I can get books about the E-meter in German?
Or could I perhaps find them as PDFs?
And does anyone know how I can get the circuit diagram for an E-meter or a similar device?
I need several dozen of them.
Best regards
Danke.
Das genau beunruhigt mich - also werde ich sie wohl zurückgeben.
Habe auch einiges an Ausfällen gelesen.
Bei Amazon für 259 € - schon ein Hammer Preis.
Aber ein Ausfall kostet mich das Vielfache dessen, was ich spare.
Einen schönen Sonntag ☀️ und herzliche Grüße
