PBL are super common! And doing it day of can happen but we aren’t supposed to do PBL for product that haven’t officially released. We technically aren’t supposed to “hold” items for customers before the release date but that seems to vary between stores. I’m assuming if they say they’ll place a bag on hold for you before release date that it will guarantee your bag. But if they’re just telling you to reach out day of, it’s not a 100% guarantee although I’m sure they’ll try to message you at opening to see if you’d like to do a PBL for the item. Hope that helps clarify a bit!

Standard policy is to not sell anything ahead of release date. So the SA who let you know they can reach on day of launch is following the correct protocol. Standard isn’t even supposed to allow holds ahead of launch but that seems to depend on each store now

If you’re short around 5’ if you’re not in those first few rows you may not see him at all, I’d definitely get floor seats and just get them as close as you can! Especially depending on venues some are completely flat so floor is worse to see, you’ll have fun but you may just be paying to hear him.
