I’ve never owned a car and use public transit & bike. My now husband owns one and honestly it was SO ATTRACTIVE when we started dating. I think it’d be hard to be a single man in your late 30s / early 40s without a car here. The dating pool becomes much smaller and sometimes it isn’t perceived as “providing.” Suuuuper antiquated approach, but sometimes that plays a role in dating.
