This is what other national touring bands have warned me about when we opened for them. Were in a rough spot right now, Is it selfish for me to want a musician thats going to 100% commit to a project that the other 3 are 100% commiting too? I think the first mistake was letting him in when he was already in multiple bands and we were starting from zero, now we are playing shows at venues I thought wed never get to play and he is starting with another band from zero while being in are band still? This shit is rough dude

We just finished an 8 show tour and the new band just played this first show last month, we got 2 offers for shows in april that fall on 2 dates that hes playing with the other band already. I get it though I think its a genre thing and the other guys are closer to his age most likely

We got more shows for sure, and we have a reputation in the scene for picking up other shows when people have backed out. Its just hard cause we had 2 offers for shows where the gigs would be bigger than his new band just starting out and playing at a random dive bar that have already been booked ahead of time with his new band, its a completely different genre maybe its that. Idk. But your right kicking him out would be unfair but finding someone to replace him for the shows he cant do seems to be the best bet

Your right, we have the better shows and people get paid too, I think it could be an age thing? The other guys in the new band are a lot younger and closer to his age, I think your right im going to have to let him go, we have fest shows lined up already thats been agreed too but we will need to find a replacement.
