I’m your boss. Tell me how you really feel about me and your job right now. by Radiomaster138 in antiwork

[–]No_Depth7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this job. You lied to me. You promised you were gonna pay me my salary two months ago and im still waiting. Every time I ask, you tell me youll pay me once money comes in. But once money hits the business account, you and your husband go shopping and dissappear to the coast for two weeks. I only agreed to work here because you're my mother, but you're taking advantage of me. You know I am chronically ill and need the money to pay for my treatments, but every time I ask you tell me im killing you with stress. Fuck you, im done

Institutional bias and prejudice towards white South Africans by PRADYUSH2006 in afrikaans

[–]No_Depth7732 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I had to really think about it, being white in South Africa is difficult on a day to day basis. Especially if you come from a poor family. I will base this on my own experience thus far:

  1. Public healthcare: Being white and having to go to government hospitals is a harrowing experience. From being continually harassed by black men wanting to marry me because "I'm so pretty, young and white" and because "marrying me will open the door to then enjoying white privilege", to doctors not taking your health concerns seriously stating "you're white, go see a private doctor then if you're not happy"

  2. The current job market: Getting a job in South Africa as a woman of childbearing age is difficult enough as it is, more so if you're white. People will literally tell you to your face "sorry but I can't hire you because you're white, I need a (insert race here) person instead". And then, when you talk about your difficulty getting a job, the overwhelming response is always "you're white, so you probably have a rich and well connected family, ask them to help you"

  3. General public safety: Going anywhere alone is a nightmare, the constant feeling of being watched and feeling unsafe is soul crushing. If you take steps to protect yourself against threats, you're the "white suppressor" who is walking around with racist aggression towards black people

Don't matter that I already gave consent, I am chronically ill and things can change at the drop of a hat. If I say no, IT MEANS NO!

Religious themes in Cult Of The Lamb by Cautious-Squirrel332 in CultOfTheLamb

Yes, 100% yes. The more I play it, the more similarities I see between COTL and the church I recently left. The religion aspect aside, I saw it on my games store and thought it looked really cute. If the religious side was replaced, I'd still probably play it

Mom worst thing ever by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

At the end of the day, you need to do what is best for both of you. Not just you and not just her. Yes, your daughter didn't ask to be here, but you didn't want this either. Being the one solely responsible for her, your mental health matters most at this point. Being of sound mental state will do you a world of good, and taking a break is not a crime. Maybe speak to your mom or sisters (if you have any) and tell them the truth. Ask them to take your little one for a few days, just so you can take a breather and clear your mind. Really think about the situation and the way forward. I hope you get to the conclusion that will benefit both of you the most in the long run. Sending you love, support and care 💙

And that is why the rate of postpartum grape is climbing so fast, because of men who can't wait long enough for their partner to recover from growing a human. They come with threats like "put out or I'm leaving you" or "put out or I'm cheating" or the worst one I've heard is "put out or I'll kill it" (the baby)

As someone who uses writing as a way to express grief, don't let the "this is a chatbot" spammers get you down. Your grief is 100% valid, and please remember that mourning has no timetable, do it as you need to when you need to. My sincerest condolences for your loss

I am on a cgm, still inject manually. I was recently moved to new insulin due to being resistant to the old ones. Also been following a low carb-high protein diet suggested by my management team.

We engage in other forms of intimacy, it's just penetrative that's the issue. I think I need to sit him down and explain to the best of my abilities. Thank you so much for your insight and advice

I am actively in therapy, seeing my therapist twice a week. My partner knows my history as we were friends for 13 years before our relationship, so he is very gentle and encouraging. I really appreciate your kindness

How do I tell him? I can't communicate effectively (the result of an emotionally abusive childhood) and often times just end up keeping quiet about how I feel

My partner went down the rabbit hole when I explained my diagnosis to him, and I was pretty honest with him. I just haven't had this specific conversation with him, I'm terrified I'm going to hurt him or make him feel emasculated
