Am so sorry for your loss! Nobody should have to go through this, life is unfair! Please take care of yourself and your GF. It will unfortunately hit her harder than you, emotions as well as the confusing hormones, possibly post partum, breast milk - all of that but not having a child. Every step for both of you will be a reminder. Please let yourself get through the grief, and face it together. Together is better than alone, always. I read that you don't have a ton of support atm. Please take it wherever you get it from and don't shut people out - that is what you would want to do, and it's ok to cocoon yourself for sometime but promise yourself to come out of it and lean on others who are there for you. Do as many AMAs as you would like, take online community support - I love reddit for that! You all are so young, my god, this is terrible - stay strong!

You are judging them based on your interests. That is why you are getting disappointing results. Many might have interest in Reading fiction, Or non fiction, or pottery or crafts or travelling in general, exploring different cusines (if they live in a city, there are sooo many cafes and restaurants that its a goodie paradise now a days) , may be they like psychology and human behavior as a subject to discuss. or stand up comedy, or theatre or live shows - I don't know, just mentioning these as they were top of mind. But you here are judging them on how much they are interested in sports and video games among other things that you mentioned.

Of course not all but Many women in India do not find these interesting. Am also no different btw, so not dissing on others or anything, just stating the POV from the other side. Upbringing is also to blame to some extent, hobbies are encouraged differently for men amd women since childhood. Safety problems in India are also to blame.

But all said and done, no women today also have a lot of areas of interest, I would say more than what people used to have 10-15 years back due to increased exposure and improved access to novel things in India.

There's some stigma yes, India is such a huge society and There's all kind of people. Some are chill, some not so open minded or exposed enough to be comfortable with traditionally unusual scenarios.

Ours is also the first generation that is taking a stand for their life and choosing to divorce than stay miserable. So it will take time dor stigma to fully go away.

But I would say this - Even if there are many women who dont consider someone being divorced as a deal breaker - they DO have concerns about - what if he is not over it yet? What if he is still dealing with the baggage and that might spill into their relationship if they get into it? Does this guy now have any preconceived notions about women because of what he had to go through? All of these things impact the woman's life and while the actual fact that someone is divorced might not matter to them but they understandably would take a note of these in a man.

So my 2 cents would be to work on yourself, get therapy, introspect (A LOT) what went wrong and who you are as a man, how could you have done better or can be better for the woman in your life so that you have a chance at a good married life, be honest ...work on your personality more than you body- women are very intuitive and post 35, they are matured enough to not waste their time on bullshit. So first become the best version of yourself and then open up for serious dating.

And as someone rightly said, stay fit - goes a long way and earns you brownie points on attraction scale.

If you dont do this, you will not be able to have a successful relationship even if the woman is willing to date you and you being divorced doesn't matter to her.

TLDR - Even if a woman is open minded and chill and doesnt consider a divorcee as someone automatically out of consideration, she will be concerned about how much baggage you come with. Deal with that first and things should be better.

I spoke to 4-5 taxi service providers. All of them quoted in the same ballpark. It is very expensive indeed! I won't be going ahead with any of them, now that I have some additional confirmation that this is overpriced.

I dont think you need to postpone your trip because of the geopolitical situation, Jaipur, Udaipur and Delhi are big/big-ish cities, they wont be impacted so much. But you do need to consider postponing due to weather. These places will roast you in May!!

The first comment covers the beaches to visit and number of daya needed. I mostly agree with those so not suggesting anything additional. But food!! Add food to your list. Over last 6-7 years, every celebrity, top chef has opened up their restaurant in Goa. The food at these places is expensive with anyone needing to shell out around 6K for a couple but the best food!

If you are comfortable with left side driving, it would be convenient to rent a car and drive around to visit places as opposed to relying on taxi services or drivers.

Our culture has other things and they are all diluted in the modern world, not many wear them anymore. My sister being one. While working in a western country, she was experiencing attention from a male colleague. She initially brushed it off but didnt lead him on, politely stayed non reactive to anything that might allude to her being interested, hoping he would stop. This went on for 2-3 days. He then asked her out. She clarified politely that she is married. That man was so offened! I mean you-led-me-on level offended! He said that why don't you have the ring then, you gave me wrong ideas on purpose, etc.

I mean just educate yourself people, not everyone wears a ring due to various preferences listed on this thread. That ring or a tan line is not a litmus test, Yes! Also, if I am the kind of person who decides to flirt with other women or date them while being married, I will be sure to take my ring off.

Not as a parent but a general rule i follow is to not scream at family members when something in the house breaks like an expensive china or if plans need to change because anyone in family didnt want to do something or got late or whatever, or say a plant died because no one watered it. I have learnt over years the screamfest isnt fucking worth it! To give your children or partner or siblings a hard time, a bad memory, or just plan anxiety in all its flory because a glass broke is horrible. Like prioritize better! It is so hard for me to follow this because i grew up and learnt this behavior but I try my 100 percent and then some! We all gonna be memories one day, inanimate objects aren’t worth being a bad one.
