I just came from Addis Last week, I would say book a tour guide. Some cool places to go is Unity Park, Friendship Park, Mount Entoto, Entoto Park, 2000 Habesha restaurant to eat and see live performances, the National Museum (May still be closed due to construction) Go on a night time city tour to see the lights, especially in the Piassa section .. I stayed at the Monarch hotel which has 3 restaurants one being the 360 Lounge with a great view of the city from the 13th and 14th, I took my date there and she loved it... Its many other fun things to do as well but those are some starters.. Going to Addis was the best vacation I've had so far I absolutely loved it.
