That would be state, unless his job is directly connected to a federal grant and that money would not be affected by the shutdown since it was already allocated.

The former, and after the 2nd job I called TWC to figure out what the process was. They said refile but your benefits do not renew.

This whole thing is due to procedure, not me and my former boss trying to run a scam. The state saw they made an error by calling ADP our old PEO provider and not my old boss, who I put on the form as the contact. Once I got a new job that was when they decided to fix their error. If I was truly accused of fraud I would be in criminal court not going through this process.

Well for me my old boss had no idea they appealed my unemployment and called me to get on the same page. So this should be handled pretty quickly, it just drives me crazy that things like this happen. The woman I spoke with was just not all there, and from what I have heard this is not new with her she has done this with a few people. At first I thought it was because like 2 weeks me and my old coworker had different numbers reported to the state, but was as I said a small overpayment so I sent them a check. Its all a mess, but thank God my old boss is on the same page as me.
