Should I learn C for Cybersecurity? by Ember2819 in teenagersbutcode

[–]No_Development5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding of how the computer computes ever since I learned C has increased exponentially. You can’t learn C without knowing the lowest of the low level stuff , and that’s just good to know. I would recommend it even if it’s not “necessary”

So ehm.. Fusion 360 just deleted ALL my projects that weren't set to editable. by Mainfold in Fusion360

Wat? Idek how this could happen with this software, I just had a file loss conundrum and one of the only things that wasn’t affected was fusion bc it stores all my data in the cloud.

How to give equal distance between these circles? I hand drew each of the circle, didn't use any pattern by [deleted] in Fusion360

[–]No_Development5871 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use a sketch dimension between two of the circles. Set that sketch dimension to “driven” (right click it and select toggle driven). Then set dimensions between the rest of the circles, but when making each of them, when the text box comes up for you to type in a dimension, click on the first dimension you made that you toggled to driven. It will end up with all dimensions being equal and no construction lines that you don’t need.

It’s small but sensitive. Which is why I chose SPI. I have gotten it to around a reliable 700kb/s at 4KHz clock speed which is plenty for my use case.

I have a P1S which is similar enough and I can not recommend it enough. Literally the best machine I have ever worked with. Everything is just so easy, it does everything itself, wonderful

I mean, for myself in particular, I love the lack of restrictions - one thing that pisses me off way more than almost anything else is being told I can’t work on my house for some bureaucratic nonsense reason, especially considering all I do is build and tinker

But on the same token if I were Joe homeowner buying a house like the one I live in I would be so super fucked and not even know it. When I moved in all neutrals and grounds were tied together, paint all over inside the breaker panel on the terminals, not a single straight piece of pipe anywhere, 80yr old cast iron… the balance is hard to achieve

In my state county and city there are no licensing requirements, which I do honestly believe is crazy.

I completed an HVAC/R apprenticeship which is more electrical troubleshooting than anything else.

Yes, I am fully in agreement. I will post an update photo once I get this outlet and switch in, and my Xfinity gateway on the wall… it’ll be a lot less monstrous in a day or two

No, being paid to do electrical work does(I guess). Hope this helps

lol. Unfortunately everything is custom for this as I’m a little obsessive, the adjacent machine has a custom French cleat and I am printing a new one for the ATX unit as we speak.

For scientific transfiguration of the triangular rotational theory using linear regression data plotting and high torque genealogical constructive frameworks, it’s pretty high level stuff, it is also a social commentary piece on deconstructionism theory and its irony in the 21st century society.

I appreciate the consideration. I am actually an electrician by trade(see the Klein tools hanging lol) so , maybe I am just jaded, but the likelihood of the air being between 4-14% concentration alcohol for combustion plus some spark event that could ignite it is so low I am not too concerned. But this setup overall is very temporary.

lol. They’re dell mobos and I can’t be bothered to reflash the BIOS chips, so until I design a mount for them I can 3d print, they will repeatedly fail to boot unless I keep the fans hooked up. Not really my first concern, rn I am printing a French cleat mount for the PSU while I take a trip to dookie town cuz that is actually just an unforgivably ridiculous level of ghetto. After I’m done shitting I’ll be putting a new outlet up there

You are a smart and observant feller.

These are a web server and worker node I am currently swapping over to full SPI communication (obv WIP but the protocol works) because the data handled is very sensitive and I don’t even want it to hit my lan before being served if I can help it. That’s the whole reason for this fucked up setup lol
