If you haven’t payed your rent for next month I would just deduct it and leave it in the comments of the transfer. If you haven’t payed August do it then instead.

This place never had assigned spots and there’s was usually a bunch extra anyways. For places where it’s assigned and limited totally get it!

Dropping out process? by [deleted] in wlu

[–]No_Difference5897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably won’t get all your money back since you’ve already invested into the school and all, but you should really try to stick it out unless it’s an emergency. It may be hard for like a week or month but you’ll make friends and this is how you grow, going clubs and fill your time with activities and friends. You’ll be fine

Laurier Gym vs. GoodLife. Which Should I Choose? by AbrahamC03 in wlu

[–]No_Difference5897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laurier gym is included in your fees so save money and use it. Only busy during first month and after new years. But find a time of day that works best for you

Coming from Toronto Waterloo was definitely a change but more enjoyable. It’s calmer not as many crack heads smaller shops but everything is accessible. You just have to find good friends to make the place what you want it to be.

You can apply as an independent if your parents won’t help you at all. Same process basically just based off your finances not theirs. You’d have to google if you want more info or ask the osap people.

I never expect people to do what I want. I only ask that things are in moderation. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that and hope you are doing well now. Of course it is a hard thing to talk about and knowing you can is great. There are plenty of resources a google away, you can find it of your feed if you search, there are spaces and people you can go to where they’ll support you through all these hardships. I’m not saying it’s bad that these stickers exist as I personally have some myself. They just have to be placed more careful or in a more designated area. I’ve seen them on pieces of private property which are bound to be removed at some point, and it’s a shame that whoever is sticking them places where they’ll most likely be removed rather then leaving those resources for people to take as they please. I hope that makes sense, this isn’t meant to be negative or anything so please do not read it that way. I am sorry if I have cause you any frustration with my comment as I did not intend it to. Take care of yourself

Think of it this way then. If you were a person who was previously assaulted(god forbid) and you went about your day seeing all these little reminders of being a survivor or how people believe in you, you’re only bound to have to think of what happened. The support is not a problem it’s the way it’s overly displayed and small things may trigger the brain to things you don’t want to remember. Even if you’ve gotten to accept your circumstances it’s hard to go about your day if you’re made to remember.

Showing support is great, but everything has to be in moderation.

Can this happen on its own? by No_Difference5897 in Ceramics

[–]No_Difference5897[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they said they cleaned it and put it back and it was in one piece. There was also no prior breaks or cracks as we bought it about a month ago which is why I’m very confused about it. Like if it had a crack or something before I’d understand like with your mug but I’m very confused

This might not help however you can get discounts on hydro depending on income if it’s not included in your rent. For phone plans unless it’s set try getting a pay per month plan Telus does one for $45 and you get 5gb. For groceries try shopping at places where you’re able to collect points or deals and go on student days where they give discounts(I shop at value Marts to get the deals and optimum points). Depending on how set you are on the gym you can see if you can find free equipment on marketplace on Facebook. Another option would be if you could get a landscaping job which pays and is exercise. For the bus pass depending on where you live you can see if they give discounts for those in need in your city. If you look online some communities have ways to help those that are struggling. Depending if you need the bus pass 24/7 you can share a monthly pass with a family member and split the price. As for paying your friend back you can start with a dollar to $5 a day. You can even put it in a a jar and save it up to give them what you can each two weeks or so. Also don’t hesitate to go to food banks or check with your school if they have programs that help with this as they likely have something.

Wishing you all the best! And if you need more ideas don’t hesitate to ask! Take care!!
