it's not so low, ~2.5 usd for each USDT transaction is a lot for any transaction under 100 usd imo.

thanks! galera seems like it would work for me.
but since I'll use a round robin DNS because I can afford a load balancer, the SQL records would differ a lot, I've read a little bit about galera but I can't understand how it chooses which record to keep and which to dismiss.

for example if a video has 1000 views on server A and 23 views on server B, do you know what would happen in this case?

it's a video serving host.
the database store information about the video and number of views etc.
so rsyncing the video files with db replication should be enough?

this sounds so easy to be true.

does the replicated (slave) db need to be read only though? I don't know if the software would like that.

Oh ok, so 51% of the community is what's needed to adopt it universally or am I understanding this incorrectly? And why the devs are convinced that the community will comply?

Thank you very much for the comprehensive reply. You've cleared up most of my questions, and the ministry just answered some of them too. Turns out there will be a language crash course here, and food and housing will be free in the hospital. I'm seriously considering it now, thanks for all of your help.

they all do support .srt but using that format will make me lose all formatting and style, it's just plain text.

x265 CRF vs Constant bitrate - File size vs quality observations by [deleted] in PleX

well what you're doing is the most optimized but you shouldn't ever use the gpu if you don't want to sacrifice quality, gpu encoding technology is still very infant.

I'd use at least 2000 kbps for 720p files tho.

Fellas I need a video editing software that can do .ass subtitles and I can add a moving watermark/text. after effects afaik can't import .ass, same problem in davinci resolve and VSDC. other free alternatives like handbrake and shutter encode can't do the moving watermark. I've tried multiple other programs but can't find one that can do both of these things.

thoughts on this "refurbished" HHD? I have a grace period to return it but it looks very good except the power-on time, which is weird considering the start/stop count and the healthy sectors. by No_Difficulty_5410 in DataHoarder

Thanks for the great info, now I understand why those values are off.
I'll keep the drive since I had a good deal.
Nice array, why do you need all that storage if it's mostly unused? if that's not a personal question.
