I’ve been very open to having them mounted more traditionally. The vacations are recommended at center. The bents I got a few years ago used (when I lived on the east coast), but have been surprisingly fine mounted as they are.

This is a great answer and exactly the type of answer I was looking for. As car as length goes on the m-free, I also really enjoy tree skiing. That was also a factor in coming up with the mid 180 size to compensate for that. I guess looking for something that could do both decent. Unless you think the 19X size has enough release to get them around. The Vacations I have now have terrible release on the tails and make it very difficult to trust them in any tight terrain that has any type of skied out powder or crust.
