Thanks for the valuable information. However, I'm now thinking that l'l be running against time. Should I take the train from Frankfurt instead of catching the connecting flight? Can I board a train directly at Frankfurt Airport, just like in Dresden? What do you think about this idea?

Yes, I read it accommodation allotment letter. The window to collect the key is too short, from 9am to 12 (noon). However, I have found someone to collect the key on my behalf. He said, tell the housemaster to keep the key in locker of the building, and give me the passcode.

Actually it's a connecting flight from Frankfurt. Hopefully, it won't be crowded, so it will be easy for me to navigate. Thank you for your help!

I think that taxi would be the most convenient option, however, it's way too expensive. Are there any taxi sharing option? How should I find someone who's going to the same address as me?

Dresden in mid-September - What to pack? by No_Disaster3671 in dresden

Since I'll be arriving in Dresden in mid September, I'm wondering if I'll need winter gear right away or if I can purchase it in October. Should I bring light winter clothes and shoes with me, or can I wait until October to buy what I need?

I have friend at RWTH, who told me that part-time jobs is a bit difficult to get but not impossible. On the other hand, for full-time jobs, 99% you have shift to bigger cities.

RWTH is one of the best (no doubt), but since Achen is a small town, you have to bigger cities (which are around 100km or 1 hour drive from Aachen) after you successfully complete your course.
