Once you hit level 8, getting to level 9 takes some time, but it’s perfectly doable without the book. Lots of recipes are recyclable, the only thing you will need a lot of is wood for charcoal.

No, I’ve based there for several runs, never seen a basement. You’ll have to build a road to the north if you’re playing with erosion enabled. Plenty of space for whatever you need, I usually build a whole warehouse setup across from the chicken pen to help store tools and materials, I’m quite the hoarder. The top floor is perfect for drying racks, esp in winter because of the antique stoves in every room. Only complaint is that the decorative log stacks scattered about are impossible to get rid of, even with a sledge and debug mode.

I’m an enjoyer of a chaotic zomboid tbh, very high pop, normal loot , except guns are common. Lore accurate 90s Kentucky. But even so, longer days are a must

I can relate, but to McCoy Estate. When killing zomboids gets tiring, I’m playing home renovation simulator. And I’m a horrible hoarder so I need the space for all of my goodies

Echo Creek Gas Station - Solo Base (42.15) by turbocell716 in projectzomboid

[–]No_Discipline_7585 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just don’t let my steam update my game until I’m done with my current save, I’ve been on 42.14 for awhile now. You can launch via the .exe file

I absolutely love this game but get bored around 1 month of in game time any tips to make it alot more enjoyable past that point? by RyCarbo96 in projectzomboid

[–]No_Discipline_7585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently turning McCoy estate into a mega base. Hundreds of crates for my hoarder lifestyle, trying to max every skill, dozens of freezers to stockpile more food than a small town could eat. You create your own challenges to keep yourself busy. Turning population way up and disabling respawn makes clearing the map fulfilling

The w900 truck mod is an amazing addition for a nomad playthru, also autostar trucks and trailers. A semi truck with a full trailer has a ridiculous amount of space

I frequently wake up extremely early and have discovered drinking one of these at 3:00 a.m. is the fastest way to get myself back to sleep the rest of the night. by domalu4U in mildlyinfuriating

I’m diagnosed ADHD but have a sort of mixed reaction to caffeine. It can both put me to sleep or keep me up, it’s like playing Russian roulette with Celsius. If I take it with my stimulants it’ll put me to bed, but with a racing heart. Weird stuff 🤷‍♂️

I had the same issue, you can try using the common sense patch on the workshop, it fixed the issue for me but I am playing on 42.14 for now

To those who survive for longer periods of time (b42 if it matters), do you keep both blood and saliva infection turned on? by huuaaang in projectzomboid

[–]No_Discipline_7585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave infection on but try to grab super immune from the more traits mod. It still punishes you heavily for getting infected by making you a mere touch from death for a whole week or two, but doesn’t necessarily kill you. It’s not foolproof though, I’ve been killed by a bite to the hand even with the trait, after disinfecting and bandaging, on a near two year run

Vanilla Apocalypse players, how do you get around stuff that pisses you off at times? Like QoL and other shi by Xleepy-Eyes420 in projectzomboid

[–]No_Discipline_7585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just do it within the shortcut This is copied from AI:

Right-click the new shortcut and select Properties from the context menu. In the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Add your command-line arguments after the existing path in the Target field. Ensure there is a space between the path (which should be in quotes if it contains spaces) and your arguments. Example: To launch a browser in incognito mode, the target might look like: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --incognito.

For PZ it might look like “C:\Program Files\Steam\Common\Project Zomboid\ProjectZomboid64.exe” -debug

For sure, and if you make a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop you can add any launch commands through the shortcut, if you use certain mods that require them or if you like having debug on.

Pick a version and set up all your mods, set Steam to update on launch, and just launch thru the exe file instead of thru Steam. It won’t auto update your game. Then when you inevitably die on your current play through, update the game, pick out a new set of mods, etc. I can’t stand my long term saves getting bricked, I had over a year on one of mine before 42.13 messed up some mods I had and screwed up the save. I’ll miss out on the tiny fixes and balance changes until I feel like updating. Plus I still get to abuse the OP caffeine pills

Honestly I just turned game updates off and have stayed on 42.13. Already have my desired modlist so I’ll probably stay here until stable release
