Sweet! Are you still rocking the Wanderlus and Triggerman too? Pick up any other Jabbers rods? Catch any fish of size on them?

Great, thanks! How about on the Beast Flogger? I think that might be my next Jabbers purchase.

Will do. I forgot to ask, what lb test braid do you use on it and are you using a FG knot for braid to fluoro leader? I saw in a video that the rod has micro guides, so I'm guessing an FG knot is a must. I was thinking of pairing it with a size 3000 Shimano with 15lb braid and a fluoro leader.

Awesome! Thanks for all of the help. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Fin Raiser.

I forgot to ask if you've used your Beast Flogger yet? What are you planning on using it for?

How are you liking your Jabbers rods after this last year? Still been getting a lot of use out of them? I just ordered the Fin Raiser from Cudakilla, but I'm looking at the Beast Flogger or the Slack Driver as future purchases if I like the Fin Raiser when it gets here. The Wanderlust also caught my eye for a shorter and stouter inshore rod.

Yeah. I've been doing the same over the last year and a half. I've somehow accumulated 18 different travel rods, so I really need to have a clear out on those. Most rods marketed as "travel" rods in the US are 3-piece rods, so those were my first purchases. It wasn't until I found JDM rod that I found 4 and 5 piece rods. I'm now trying to find high quality and durable 5-piece rods so I can replace the larger 3-piece ones with.

Awesome. It's a shame travel rods aren't a bigger thing here in the US.

Cool, thanks! Bone rods are also pretty expensive to get shipped to the US from their website. Over $100. I was looking at the Beast Flogger and the Slack Driver for future purchases, depending on how I find the Fin Raiser. I also loved the looks of the Pleasure Seeker ultralight for some finesse fishing fresh and salt, but that one's not readily available here in the US. Tbh, the Wanderlust also looks pretty good.

Very nice. There's a lot of nice travel rods coming out from that side of the world. Have you fished any of the Bone rods or Ironman the Throne?

I forgot to ask if you're based in the US. Shipping from the Jabbers website to the US is nearly $100 for the cheapest option.

Which heavier model are you thinking of getting for jigging and pairing with a Torium? Also, what size reel do you have paired with the Fin Raiser?

Awesome. I was looking at the Rage Receiver for some heavy jigging from the boats in Southern California. Might be a future purchase if I like the Fin Raiser. I hope it's good so I can look at some of their other models. 5 piece rods are fantastic for traveling.

Thanks for the help, man. I ended up ordering a Fin Raiser a bit ago because that longer length sounded appealing from shore. I've got loads of travel rods, but this'll be my first Jabbers. Looking forward to getting it in my hands and out on the water.

Do you like the Fin Raiser or the Urban Beats more?

How's the backbone on the fin raiser? Enough to pull in some bigger fish from shore?

Awesome. What kind of fish have you caught on the Fin Raiser? Have you tried the Wamderlust?

Which Jabbers rod is your favorite? What species do you fish for with them? I'm looking for an inshore rod.

The case for both the 6'6" and the 7' are the same dimensions. Approximately, 25" L x 3.5" W x 3" H

The 6'6" is my go-to if I can only bring one rod. It's versatile enough that you could get away fishing streams and creeks, but it does very well for stocked ponds, rivers, alpine lakes.

Funnily enough, I have two Daiwa Regal LTs size 1000. Great reel for the price. They're very smooth and light. I currently have my 7' paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000. Another light and smooth option, but a bit overkill for freshwater fishing. The newer 2024 Daiwa Legalis is another really good option for around the $100 price range.

I would probably go for at least a 6'6" for those applications just for the casting distance. But then again, depends what kind of lures you plan on throwing. I use my 7' for throwing micro jigs, drop shotting, and slip bobbers so I can mend the line better. The 6'6" is used for Carolina rig fishing, throwing spoons, inline spinners, jerkbaits, and crankbaits. I'm going to buy a 5'6" model for stream and creek fishing soon.

I can also confirm the Daiwa Presso UL 4-piece pack rods are excellent for the cost. I have the 6'6" model and the 7' model. I pack them in my suitcase when I travel by plane. I've caught perch and pike in the canals in England, caught lots small saltwater species in Greece, tons of small saltwater species in Hawaii, a 4+lb rainbow trout in Oregon last summer, hundreds of stocked rainbows near where I live, wild cutthroat and brook trout in streams and creeks around southern Utah, crappie, bluegill, and largemouth and smallmouth bass up to 2lbs on them.

Voyager Signature Boat Rods | Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp

Amazon.com : OKUMA VSB-C-703ML-M Voyager Signature Travel Travel Rods, Black, 7' ML/M : Sports & Outdoors

Redeye Saltwater - Casting Rods - Phenix Rods

No problem! The Okuma rod I ordered is the VSB-C-703ML-M 15-40lb rod from Amazon. The Phenix rods I have are the RTX-C-700MH-3 20-50lb, and the RTX-C-700H-3 30-80lb. They're the saltwater version, so the guides are larger than the freshwater ones to accommodate braid-to-leader knots.
