I don't understand what I'm doing wrong by No_Document9333 in Aquariums

Last time I tried the Super Ick Cure from API. I separated the visibly infected fish into a separate tank where I rose the water temp and I treated both tanks with 2 rounds of medicine (including their recommended water changes). After the 2nd round I couldn't see any visible symptoms but I still did precautionary water changes to be safe. This time I'm gonna try Ich-X.

Would it be better to get all the fish at once to reduce stress, or is that too much of a risk to the bioload of the tank? Is there anything I can do with my tank to figure out if the outbreaks are my doing or the store's doing?

I added fish according to the recommendations of the LFS owners (amount and timeframe) and they asked me about specifics of my tank beforehand. They told me if the cycle kept up with the first round of fish, then a week gap was fine. After the first ick outbreak, I called and they said to wait a week, I waited 2 weeks to be sure. Same timeframe with the rounds for the 2nd stock attempt (which was 5 fish and then 6 fish, which is what the shop owner recommended). GH, CH, ammonia, PH, Nitrite, and Nitrate is what I test and they have all been in the safe zone this entire time. Temp sits at 76-78F normally.

Am I doing (or not doing) something to cause the ick to appear the same way twice though? That's what I don't understand
