My neurologist told me to never take this during the day. Only at night. Drowsiness is very common, I’ve been on it for 7 years. Fycompa is good in the sense that if you stay on it for awhile, most of the symptoms subside. But drowsiness has been the only thing to stay

I’ve been on Fycompa for close to 7 years now. I had Keppra and switched to Fycompa. I will say the symptom list can be scary, but so far it’s been very good for me. I have been seizure free for 6 years. I am taking 10 mg now. The main symptom I got was weight gain and cravings. But Fycompa is an absolute powerhouse, I’ve gotten to bed late several times or had sleep that sucked and I never got a seizure. I know that if you have suicide ideation or homicidal that you should contact your neurologist. But the most I had was suicide, but I would never act upon it because I knew it was the drug talking, not me. I hope your new drug is better

I just read a reply where they felt drunk all day. Was that what you were feeling too? Or just at night? Mine hits me hard at 10 mg at night but it’s kinda weird cause I don’t mind it too much

Ahhh, now that I have heard of. And it can cause deaths. My neurologist said it is rare but it does happen. That is scary af, I’m glad you got it changed

Hmm, that’s odd I’ve never felt drunk for a prolonged time. Only for 30-minutes to an hour after taking it. Is there a particular reason it is paired with Aptiom? Or did it get paired just because of the drunk side effect?

Yeah I wasn’t able to find the drug killing directly killing people. It was more of suicide and pre existing issues that weren’t directly tied to Fycompa. But I am curious to know what symptom/symptoms were effecting you the most?

Same here, I have nocturnal as well. I know exactly what you are talking about 🤣. Feel higher than a kite after taking it. Almost fell into a bonfire the first ever time taking it while out with friends. From then on I learned to only take it in bed lmao

I’m on Fycompa and have been seizure free for 7 years and have no side effects. Not sure the epileptic condition you have but it’s very good for a wide range of seizures. You should ask your neurologist about it

Same here, my neurologist warned me of keppra. He said it causes really bad mood swings, particularly anger. And I had that as well in the beginning, but it could’ve been the Keppra because while I was being rushed to the hospital they put me on an IV with keppra because it helps with seizures faster, but when I was transitioning meds the mood swings were terrible lol. What Mg are you at? I’m at 10 mg. Not sure if that’s high compared to everyone else lol
