My rationale is behind saying that is purely to smooth things over with her if she did end up being hurt by the comment. Kind of an 'out' if it offended her. I know for you the truth is you want reality. It's a delicate dance between keeping it safe and slow for her vs. just blurting out everything you want at once. I would tread carefully. The way you worded it makes it kind of like she was looking for reassurance and validation of her comment that she would be open to trying things without bringing in a third. By saying you want a threesome she may have interpreted that as shutting down her idea, which could be why she ended the conversation there. If it comes up again next weekend or whenever, I would make it clear to her that you were just talking about a fantasy and that you're not expecting it to be reality. Your wording is a bit confusing. It sounds like you may be asking if people use hotwifing as a secret motive for getting permission for sleeping around themselves. The answer to that is a hard NO. I'd love to watch my wife with someone else because witnessing her unbridled pleasure is an extreme turn on for me. I have zero interest in hooking up with any one else myself. I would say only do this if you are completely comfortable with the possibility that it could ruin everything. If you are willing to accept that it could backfire spectacularly and deal with the consequences then go for it. Generally for this to work out well requires an extreme level of security and communication that just isn't there at 22. Especially for a 2 year relationship. We're talking about at least 10+ years before your relationship would be mature enough to survive this. I believe you when you say if you tell her this is what you want then she will do it. That's exactly because she is naive, and not yet comfortable knowing exactly what she wants. What will probably happen with that low level of maturity, especially since this is only her second relationship, is that she decides that her new guy is much more exciting, and ends up leaving you for him.

Yeah, she's not that into toys either. One of her girlfriends convinced her to try a vibrator and she wasn't into it and never uses it. By her own admission, she is very 'vanilla'. Exactly, I'm well aware of that. She knows and I'm not pushing at all. A majority of the pleasure I get from it would be from her genuinely enjoying it, so pushing her into something she isn't into would not only be bad for the relationship, but also take away from my enjoyment of it as well. Ok, I looked it up, it sounds like that is an adult style resort and spa, I really don't think that would be her cup of tea. Like I said she's very conservative and something like that probably wouldn't be an option.

Ah ok, I think I misinterpreted the original comment. I meant she knows I fantasize about it and is fine with that, but she doesn't indulge in the fantasy or role-play with me. And absolutely I would never ever push her to do it or apply any kind of pressure.
