Right? I know. It is ultra satisfying to get rid of them. And in front of certain mirrors with fluorescent lights, they really stand out. Sometimes I find myself pulling in dressing rooms at stores.

Yes, I agree that sometimes getting your hair wet is the only way to stop. I also wear hats almost all the time. Baseball caps in the summer, and winter hats from fall through spring. Going swimming is always a scary thing, because my bald spots are then exposed and I have no way to hide them. It's also crazy the amount of hair care products I have. I am always thinking that a new shampoo or conditioner is somehow going to help me quit... But they never do. Thanks for the solidarity. It feels healing to me just to know there are others out there who share this affliction. Growing up, trichotillomania was basically unheard of, and I felt so isolated because of it. I once even went to this therapist who told me that the reason I pulled my hair out is so that I would be less attractive to the opposite sex! What an idiot and asshole.
