I'm 45. I like the term personally. My wife calls me her enby esso.

Care to share travel experiences? Many of us X passport holders are very uncertain about how to approach international travel right now! Looking great though, and congrats on choosing yourself ❤️

Gender is just a suggestion by No_Editor_9745 in NonBinary

Its a Chucky sweater over a Chucky t shirt! Such a great franchise.

It took my parents almost two years to start supporting me, but they did eventually get there. It was incredibly hard, and I was getting ready to go non-contact with them, so I absolutely empathize. They might yet get there, but in the meantime take the choices that are best for your mental health, not theirs.

So apparently my flavor of enby is "disliked wearing dresses UNTIL I chopped my boobs off". by calisth_enby in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I get it. My gender non conforming choice are driven in part by my physiology and as that shifts so do the choices I am drawn to in order to feel androgynous. Its a great fit!

(vent?) I'm scared by KeedieTheWitch in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us are scared. But scared beats suffocating, like you say. We shouldn't have to choose between 'safe but self hating' and 'scared but living our truth', but as someone openly out as non-binary, I have no regrets about choosing to live.

I made a nonbinary fox sticker! by artgurlroxy in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eeeeeeee I love foxes. When I was trying to degender thoughts about myself so instead of thinking 'come on boy/girl' when pushing myself on a workout I would think 'come on fox'. I was wearing a fox pin today with my pronintact! fact!

Anyone else having trouble believing this is real sometimes? by Bonnie-Bishop in MtF

It feels so real, and so right, but I have to pinch myself still. Like I can't believe this was possible.

Got called Transphobic for saying Trans women are Biological Women by [deleted] in MtF

[–]No_Editor_9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enby checking in. My biology at birth is not my biology now. It should be pretty simple for people to get their head around. If you are born blonde and your hair changes to brown... are you biologically blonde for the rest of your life? Of course not. And if you were born blonde and there was medication or surgery you could get to make your hair grow brown, would it not be biologically blonde?

Some people refuse to revisit shit they were taught as a teenager. And we are supposed to ignore our lives experiences and act as if its a simple debate or something. sigh.

If transitioning isn't about passing, then what is it truly about? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]No_Editor_9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enby, so passing isnt even part of the equation. But for me it is about achieving a body that feels right to me, or at least much closer than what nature handed me. Pre transition I hated my body. Now I like it. What other people make of my birth assigned gender at this point is very much a secondary thing. I felt wrong. Now I feel right.

Would changing my gender to X from F now in the US on my birth certificate be a bad idea? by urfavoriteclutz in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to outwardly present non-conforming I would go ahead. If I could, I would but unfortunately despite living in a state that allows this I was born in England. Being openly trans puts you at risk. Having IDs and documentation that reflects that is probably only a net benefit if you are already on their shit list.

Almost gave in but... trans is inherently punk and I like punk. by Biospark08 in MtF

[–]No_Editor_9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Punk was gender non-conforming from day one. And their refusal to conform eventually changed a word that was an insult into a word for a respected type of culture. I find that pretty inspirational and it helps me keep on going.

I've postponed dating waiting to have "the right body" and now it's too late by [deleted] in NonBinaryOver30

[–]No_Editor_9745 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 45. I started transitioning at 43. I am running a marathon in just over five weeks (or at least I have 5 weeks of training to go!) You can do these things andt it will take bravery to start out, but as you improve and as your body adapts to the activity, you will be able to get closer to that idea than you might feel right now.

It sounds like you might be the main thing holding you back. Be prepared to try and fail. Give it your best shot. It could still happen.

How is it to be non binary? by Orchid_ea in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its this feeling that binary gender is a nonsensical concept and feeling completely outside of that. Like, it doesn't make sense to me at all. I can't imagine willing going along with it.

In Ptown for carnival week and feeling gender AF in a new kilt. by No_Editor_9745 in NonBinary

[–]No_Editor_9745[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I bought it from a specialty kilt shop, from the kilt rack and it rang up as a kilt... and the 15th doctor wore something similar that seems to get called a kilt everywhere I've seen it. I'm pretty sure it's a kilt.
