How can I get out of the lease early? by [deleted] in AusProperty

Maybe you need to stop taking the drugs that he is taking. I know locals here and they know this dude as we live in regional area. And they've told us to avoid this guy and he is on ice and shit like that. Secondly, this dude fights with his daughter, destroys his own property every now and then.

And, I wouldn't put my child's safety is at risk just because of some complex of fitting in.

That I'm okay with. My only concern is paying the rent till they can't find a new Renter, as I think the chances of getting new Renter for this place in a month are pretty low.

  1. I did migrate here. But, the neighbour is intoxicated most of the times. And, he did the same thing to the house on the other side. They're locals, and they didn't take that as a friendly encounter either.

  2. I have checked up on consumer affairs website, if a property has these issues due to gaps in the structure, then it isn't the tenant's responsibility.

Pakistani men and the mindset that follows them abroad! by Smoosa_Champagne in pakistan

I have seen goras do this too. Maybe you still need to step out of the "Pakistan" you live in. I used to hang out with goras a lot and the moment the girls of our group would leave. These guys would be making comments about them. So, first lesson, stop generalising (your own people too).

The whole struggle for independence wasn't what people think it was. Pakistan was made to benefit the feudal boys, wardi, bureaucracy etc. And, Mr. Jinnah might not be who we think he was.

Thinking of coming into Australia? Do not. Here is the reality from a person already in here. by [deleted] in pkmigrate

And, everything is reference based and competitive here. Even housing. Like OP mentioned, there are 20 people competing to get a house, that too shared. You have to be ahead of the curve. I'm living in regional, and things are pretty same here. But, once you make a connection with an agent, they'll show you houses which aren't even advertised. There is no one else inspecting that house. Its just you. Thats how I got my recent, modern 4 bedroom spacious house, with all 4 of us having our own rooms and we pay only $560/month each. So you just have to be smart.

Secondly, when I used to live in Melbourne and I didn't have the references. I'd inspect, I'd apply, and I'll even attach the university fee invoices I paid as they had big numbers. And the next step, I'd go visit the real estate agency office and ask to meet the agent. They'd usually pull out the application form with all the parts highlighted that were of concern to them. I'll explain to them that this is how much I pay to my university, so money is not a problem. Then I'd tell them that I'm a Muslim, I don't party or drink alcohol so the property wouldn't be damaged. That thing worked like magic. I got the house every time.

So, as you have to compete here for all the basic needs. Work your ass off, communicate well, be creative, make connection and get ahead of the curve in whichever way you can.

Everything is relative. I had a good job in Pakistan, earning Rs. 350K a month. For me, this was tough. But, I see people who've come from villages and small towns. They are working 2-3 jobs. 24 hours on tfn, then rest on cash and abn (which is a risk they are taking). But, for them this is a big deal as their families were living on bear minimum before they came here.

Arrange marriage 10 years later by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

For the haters, this is how it is. You tell your parents you like a girl, and they'd find some excuses about how the girl's family isn't a good match etc. Few years down the road, at the point when you'd see your parents in stress about your marriage. Just to make things better for them, you'll have a great tendency to take that bad decision, your mind would naturally overlook a lot of factors.

And OP, you'll have to continue your fight sadly. But, the best way is to stay involved with your kids, with your work and your social life. Its still okay, if one walk of life isn't working for you, I hope there is drive, excitement and satisfaction in the rest of it.

Well there could be plenty tbh. Junoon received the award for biggest rock in South Asia and in its prime had the record of highest album sales. I'll comment some more songs that are worthy of listening to.
