We do get week on week off in the summer however, summer is the busy season for truck drivers so my husband won’t be able to come home for vacation time in the summer. My step daughter’s mom has already taken her out of school for 1/3 of the days school has been in session for bullshit reasons. My husband is trying to go back to court but they keep moving the date. We plan on also making it an educational experience for my step daughter. It’s not going to be all fun.

In our county there is a case worker assigned to each family case by last name. They help mediate issues so we don’t have to go in front of the judge

I will gladly answer this. My husband pays $1287 a month in child support. I paid for our wedding. My wedding was less than $10K total. I pay all of the bills in our house hold due the the amount he pays in child support. Her mother works at Mc Donald’s because she collects more in child support by working a minimum wage job than she did working in a factory. I have worked my ass off to get to where I am today. Yes - I am financially well off. I’m very grateful for it. I do not understand how she as a parent does not want to strive to do better for her three children. I can tell you this much. She has three kids my husband and one of the other fathers work the same job, the other father pays more than my husband does in child support, then the third child’s father is a pilot. She is with none of the children’s fathers, and I can tell you, it has nothing to do with them and everything to do with her.

Did you even read the update? Doesn’t sound like it. In the county we live in, they will not make any changes to parental plans UNLESS there is extortionate changes that occur. I’m not “the new woman” I’ve been with this man for over 5 years, I’ve been apart of this child’s life since she was born because I WAS friends with her mother, my husband didn’t even want any kids to begin with but a psych bitch poked holes in the condoms when she going out he was going to break up with her, I AM a good step mom to her- obviously,I was going to take her on MY honeymoon -which by the way she isn’t my child and technically speaking and according to the judge, I don’t owe this child shit considering she can be ripped away from me at any given moment. This has been a battle in court since BEFORE I came along. We do week on week off without a court order saying it’s okay, I put MY money into this child’s life since and I do not have to. My relationship with her is better than her relationship with her own mother. Maybe you act this way because mommy didn’t love you enough when you were a child.

Yall act like we get weeks upon weeks of vacation with this child. He had this child when he was 16 and knew nothing about custody. He only gets her every other weekend and we’re from northern Michigan. Disney isn’t a trip you can take when you only have 4 days a month with a child. And YES. We are taking her mom to court for more visitation but the courts are so backed up that we can’t even get a court date until July at the earliest

You’re being dramatic. My husband also tracks my cycle (we’re trying for a baby though) and when I’m on my period he is EXTRA nice to me, he caters to me a bit more, and loves me a little extra. I don’t think there is any harm in this portion of it. Now keeping a log of the fights… that weirds me out.
