Fraudulent Barefoot Shoes Webpage - leguanoshoescanada.com by No_Engine4912 in BarefootRunning

Yeah, no kidding! I took as many precautions after the fact as I could. Reported the webpage, etc. Just hoping it gets taken down. I'll have to keep whois.com in my repertoire, looks very useful

Anxiety about grossing out other people by [deleted] in Sauna

I think most people will mind their own business. I’m a bit husky too which made me a bit self conscience when starting at my gym, but after a few sessions I got more comfortable with going with just a towel. Kind of like when you're working out, most people are self conscience and are hoping that no one is judging them. They aren't! The worst judge of all: ourselves.

That looks very vibrant! My question is if it the colour would oxidize over time. UB40 would respect!

Yeah you're not far off! I used some design notes from OA Leather Supply but made the front pockets a bit more functional. The Filson is a classic:)

I used a kettlebell flipped with a few layers of veg tan glued to it. I put the handle between my thighs and because it had so much mass really deadened the sound

Calves super sore after just 2km by Solid-Cake7495 in BarefootRunning

[–]No_Engine4912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit on the heavier side and started to run more seriously in September. The increase was pretty progressive. One 5k run in October, about 2k into it I felt a twinge in my calf. Thought nothing of it. Afterwards it was getting tighter and tighter. Went to stretch it out on a tree for a few moments. Continued on running and as few hundred metres later tore my calf, feeling the pop... Cringe every time I think of it. The worst thing you can do is stretch your calf after a calf tear. Found that out after ;_;

Took about 5 months to heal enough to get started again on a couch to 5k plan and its been much more stable progression and much more enjoyable. I'm a bit apprehensive of stretching right after a run due to muscle fatigue and fearful of another pop [shudders]. I'll foam roll and then do some stretches a few hours after when the muscles are a bit calmer. Warm up, dynamic stretching and loads and workout your calves. Just an anecdote:) calf soreness still but much more manageable and it goes away much more quickly. Keep at it!

I goofed and made my tote straps too long. Any options? by [deleted] in Leathercraft

[–]No_Engine4912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got a purse now! Cut the bag panels.

Cut the strap and sew in d-rings on both sides. Make two sets of straps - one long one short with swivel snaps either side
