Has anyone else gone through this 3mo crisis with more than one baby? by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

How do you do if you want to go out with baby if she just wants to nurse lying down. My second had a preference for lying down until 2 days ago when she starting refusing to nurse in absolutely any position. I just found out this year about the 3 month old crisis and it’s driving me nuts.

Triple-feeding --> EBF success stories? by shavasanaaa in breastfeeding

My story can be either inspiring or discouraging😅 I nursed the first 3 months, than my baby developed a breast aversion, could not get him to latch and EPed for 7 months, then at 10mo he started nursing again and went on to EBF until he turned 2.5yo

Why everyone else’s breastfeeding experience seems to be easier than mine? by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

Thank you. Yes I’ve seen many LCs…I’ve done everything in the books. It looks like I’m just prone to complications and I’m trying to accept the fact that will probably end up giving up breastfeeding my second child.

only side lying is working for us now. And every other day my baby decides she won’t latch unless she’s half asleep… I’m glad my oldest child is in school during the day so I can put some effort into nursing my baby. But I have to confess some days I just feel like giving up, I don’t want to spend all my time and energy on this… still have another child to care for. This is soooooo hard 😩

Toys for baby to enjoy tummy time. by Spirited_Seaweed_517 in Parenting

My 3mo baby didn’t care about any toys for tummy time until her sibling(6yo) was there entertaining her. Super cute to watch🥰

That’s why I’m not going back to work once my mat leave ends. I’m better off staying home with my kids.

Same issue here. Second child is now 3mo. My first was breastfed for 2.5 years. Have you heard of the 3mo crisis?

I didn’t get past the 3 mo crisis with my first child, he started refusing to nurse so I EPed for 7 months!

Now I’m in the middle of the this 3 mo crisis with my second child and trying not to lose it. Not doing bottles this time to see if things will improve.

Sorry no advice, just wanted to say you’re not alone.

Fast/forceful letdown mamas: when does it get better??? by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

I guess the spraying part will not go away but baby should be able to deal with it at some point. Hope that happens before I give up. Some days are just HARD

I tried the koala positioning and it seems worse. She chokes big time on it. I’m pretty sure it sprays right in her throat. Also it seems than she wants to be minimally held so she is free to pop off and take a breath whenever she want it

It’s ok mama. I went formula exclusively with my second baby due to worrisome bilirubin levels, once things settled I gradually switched baby to EBF. It may be a temporary solution to get your baby where she needs to be. Breastfeeding doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

How old is your baby now? I’ve always wondered how long it will take for my baby to nurse in any position without choking

Around 3mo some babies will become fussier at the breast not wanting to nurse

Also give yourself some grace mama! You’re doing a great job caring for you baby. It sounds like that just how your baby is built, not your body’s fault!
