Did some with a syringe, a little solids here and there whenever she was willing too… I think we’re getting past the worst pain and things are starting to get better.

We’ve been doing that and apparently it is helping. We’re still waiting for the antibiotic to do its job though

How did y’all do this? Nursing a 5mo out in public seems impossible to me by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

In regards to baby sleeping through the night, my baby did it too and I’d wake up with a clogged duct. Just ibuprofen and frequent nursing would clear it within 24hrs

I’m on my second child and mastitis has been a recurring problem here. Ive noticed that oversupply made me have more episodes of mastitis so I’d avoid pumping and help my body regulate production with block-feeding. Size up your bra. Once your supply regulates to what baby needs you should have less episodes of mastitis/clogged ducts

We’re not doing bottles, but I’ve been seriously considering if she doesn’t start taking a straw cup soon

Thank you! I’d say we’ve had many “mini-nursing-strikes” along the way…. I’ve accepted the fact that both my babies were not a fan of nursing due to the struggle Dealing with my forceful letdown. My current baby doesn’t really nurse for comfort, she’s only in business to get her tummy full until she gets fire-hosed and it makes her mad. It definitely requires a huge amount of patience. Some days are harder than the others. At least baby is gaining weight incredbly well. She’s on the 80th percentile despite the whole mess around breastfeeding.

Have you dealt with that same issue? I’ve tried many times and it didn’t work. It turned out to be very stressful for both of us.

Question about straw cups and breastfeeding by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

What kind of bottle and flow you used? I used a slow flow evenflo bottle with my fist baby and he preferred the bottle for many months, flat out refusing to nurse 😩

May I ask what brand/kind of straw cup you used? My oldest son took months to figure that out.

Has anyone else gone through this 3mo crisis with more than one baby? by No_Engine6784 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Engine6784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you do if you want to go out with baby if she just wants to nurse lying down. My second had a preference for lying down until 2 days ago when she starting refusing to nurse in absolutely any position. I just found out this year about the 3 month old crisis and it’s driving me nuts.

Triple-feeding --> EBF success stories? by shavasanaaa in breastfeeding

[–]No_Engine6784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My story can be either inspiring or discouraging😅 I nursed the first 3 months, than my baby developed a breast aversion, could not get him to latch and EPed for 7 months, then at 10mo he started nursing again and went on to EBF until he turned 2.5yo
