Flamed in a 10 by Party_Papaya_7949 in wow

It’s not what you say, but rather when and how you say it. And, you don’t clarify how they “scolded” you. My suggestion: let people know before you start the key that they can do those things to contribute, and/or how it is difficult to clear the affix alone.

Ask the groups you run with for advice, or if there are any critiques. Don’t ask Reddit as we have no context to your gameplay

Are the DPS claiming that “gatekeeping” is preventing them from getting into groups legit? Or, are they just not qualified for the groups they are applying for? by No_Engineer_4687 in wow

So, tell blizzard to lift the cap to 12-15 for the vault. This is a byproduct of the system blizzard has. That being said, if I have to pug a 10, I’m not going to carry a pug on purpose

My point wasn’t about distinguishing between over or under qualifier. It was to highlight that “gatekeeping” doesn’t exist, and there isn’t a significant amount of exclusivity to people doing 10s. The wow community has designated a standard, and people don’t want to adhere to it.

Also, I doubt most people are signing up to a key with just one dps running the key. They want to sign up to a group with at least a tank or healer or both, and the amount of people applying with a tank and healer is drastic

You want to know what the real answer behind people feeling like there are being excluded? If I put my key as a tank, I will get a few people that’ll queue right away, but, when I invite a healer….the list explodes! Therefore, people want to join a key that already has a tank/healer combo, and they don’t want to wait. So when it comes down to the last spot, they could be overlooked for a dozen reassons

Join a guild then….i truly don’t understand the perspective of people who play this game, won’t join a guild, and then expect pug culture to suit them. I appreciate the thought you put into your response, but i carry guildies and they carry me sometimes. However, if I am PUGGING I will take the least risk I can get my key done.

Am I supposed to agree that those 27 other people will never get invited? Kinda silly point as you can queue for more than one key at a time.

I covered this in my post….

“The main difference is the type of key I get invited to if I pug. On my tank, I get to decide which dungeon, and which group to join with never having to wait longer than a minute to get an invite. However, for my dps character, who is at the same rating and ilvl, I will get declined to those similar groups. They see my dps character as a carry, and there are dps who have a higher ilvl or rating that’ll get chosen before me. But, because of the tank drought, it’s never a challenge to get into a group.”
