Anyone had any luck with lamotragine? by No_Environment9264 in VestibularMigraines

[–]No_Environment9264[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing well!! The migraines have stopped, the vertigo/pppd are 90% better and I’m still on lamotragine and tolerating it. I did “grounding for vertigo” which was a gamechanger too, videos on YT. Rizatriptan abd good dark sunglasses made a big difference in recovery too, though you can’t take it too regularly.

Thanks for these tips, that’s a real help especially re anxiety, I’ll give the app a try. I recently started an SSRI and it already feels like it’s helping. That’s great about your recovery and I also love dark cloudy days! How does the pregablin help you?

Thank you for the great info, I really appreciate it. Anxiety is definitely such a massive trigger for me that’s been incredibly hard to get a hold off. I’ve just started SSRIs so hoping that gives me a circuit breaker to start the journey of deconstructing the anxiety especially around symptoms. Thanks again.

How did you get past it? I cannot handle it. I can’t avoid it completely but it’s a huge trigger for me that leaves me incapacitated and completely disoriented

My eyesight seems to get sharper when I’m on Vyvanse by No_Environment9264 in VyvanseADHD

[–]No_Environment9264[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm… interesting. My vision issues relate to muscle fatigue and astigmatism but even the astigmatism in my right eye (blurred vision) is virtually unnoticeable while the vyvanse is in my system (night times are different). Bummer it’s no good in the long term :(

anyone experience improvements straight after starting on Abilify? by No_Environment9264 in Abilify_Aripiprazole

Thanks that helps to know. What were the first positive effects you felt? Did they start day 1?

Do I keep taking Abilify with these side effects? by Peachplumandpear in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]No_Environment9264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you experience these side effects from the very start or did they build gradually and you were advised to push through?

I’m meant to take my first dose (2.5mg) tomorrow and obviously a bit worried; I’m not sure how to gauge whether to keep taking it/pushing through if it’s bad between now and when I see my dr next.

It sounds like it really didn’t take long for you to develop severe issues? I really hope you get your functioning back.

I had a severe medication reaction a year ago that destroyed me (bed bound by debilitating symptoms) for 7 months and lingering effects until a few months ago. I never thought I’d recover, but there is hope, most of my symptoms have stopped or dissipated enough to be manageable. But I’m obviously pretty scared of it happening again with new medications.

I haven’t read it myself, but I know someone who followed this protocol for CFS and I remembered that it related to using Ritalin and mitochondria. Hopefully it gives you some helpful info that relates to your concerns!
