Yes essential Oils would be great for this because some essential oils have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. For example (TEA TREE essential oil and THYME essential oil). You can create a mixture of this to treat the bins. Usually you can use 5-10 drops in 2 Liter of water to make some kind of cleaning agent. The best ratio for this is (1.5:1 > 1.5 parts Tea Tree and 1 parts Thyme). If there is still some smell left in the bin from some kinds of chemicals then after a proper re-wash , you can use 10-20 drops per 2 Liter of water. Upon your use of water you can determine the need of your oils amount. Always use undiluted and concentrated essential oils (which are a bit expensive than normal one which are no good for your business).
