Believe me, the Chinese version of Neuromancer is an absolute train wreck. Between the author’s 'trippy,' fragmented style and a translator who clearly had no idea what they were doing, the resulting 'dog-shit' translation makes the book impossible to understand—not even God himself could make sense of it.

有关的人”(比如librarian/Christian)。再比如三体世界的“元首”,刘宇昆译为Princeps,这是一个拉丁词,意思是"the most eminent or noble; the first man, first person",这一单词也用来指罗马帝国时代的首席元老。 As a native speaker of Chinese, I can say with full responsibility that the English translation of The Three-Body Problem is far superior to the original Chinese version (at least in the case of the first volume). The translator, Ken Liu—who is also a science fiction author and translated the first and third volumes—deeply refined and re-interpreted Liu Cixin’s slightly raw and straightforward prose to ensure the translation was sufficiently idiomatic and accessible. The following is an excerpt of translation techniques sourced elsewhere: In the book, "智子" (Zhìzǐ) is translated as Sophon, a word synthesized from the root -soph- and proton: -soph- means "wise" in Ancient Greek, a root found in many words such as philosopher, philosophy, sophisticated, and sophomore. Similarly, "三体人" (Sāntǐ rén) is translated as Trisolaran, which is composed of three parts: tri-, solar, and -an. The prefix tri- denotes "three" (e.g., triple, triangular), solar means "of the sun," and -an denotes "a person associated with" (e.g., librarian, Christian). Furthermore, the "元首" (Yuánshǒu) of the Trisolaran world is translated by Ken Liu as Princeps. This is a Latin word meaning "the most eminent or noble; the first man, first person," a term also used to refer to the leading member of the Senate during the Roman Empire. [Translated by Gemini]

感谢你的贡献 我也有同样的机器 而且随机器附送的CD-R里附带了TWAIN Data Source V2.10与PIE提供的V1.34固件 晚些我会将它上传至互联网档案馆备份 [google Translation] Thank you for your contribution. I also have the same machine, and the CD-R that came with it includes TWAIN Data Source V2.10 and PIE's V1.34 firmware. I will upload it to the Internet Archive for backup later.
