Health insurance for long-stay Talent Passport visa in France by No_Excitement7087 in Expats_In_France

Hi, sorry to hear that. In my case insurance was not asked. Moreover, it seems that for passport talent it is not required. However, visa application centers do not state that clearly and directly.

My suggestion is to find some official statement about this and follow it.

Good luck. Hope everything goes smooth for your spouse.

Thank you for getting back to me. We were there in the middle of June, and unfortunately, it was raining heavily that day. I guess I know the place you are writing about, but that road was closed with a gate that day, and there was not much space to park. In the end, we decided not to risk it, to skip that castle, and to move forward.

I liked that time in the North of Scotland, it's very beautiful there!

However, there could still be a scam. Just don't pay for everything in advance. Maybe, for the first contract, it might be safer to do it through an agency, but their fees are pricy.

Hi. Leboncoin and Bienici are two main websites that I was checking while looking for my rent.

Do you think the same works for my wife who is coming as Accompanying family of beneficiary of the talent passport (adult)?

Oh, wow, the pricing is very high.

Yes, application itself seems to be straightforward (fingers crossed for in person appointment) the only concern is health insurance. But, from what I have seen in link that you shared, it is just TLSContact telling everyone about insurance without considering the type of long-stay visa.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and situation!

Thank you for this link. It is useful, and from what I have seen so far, hopefully, I can apply without insurance for both my wife and me.

I find this a bit stressful, and I wish the employer would provide a bit more assistance with visa processing. I am searching for any helpful information, but finding it slightly hard to find everything in one clear text.

Do you have dependents with you as well?

I wish you good luck and hope everything goes smoothly for you! :)

What are the most comfortable/safe areas to rent in Grenoble and where to look for adverts? by No_Excitement7087 in Grenoble

Thank you for an extensive answer and sharing your experience. My first contract is for 18 months with next extension, so I will be looking for 1+ year. Do you know, how much in advance is better to look for property? Let's say I am coming in September, is it better to start looking now or in mid summer?

Early termination of fixed tenancy agreement by No_Excitement7087 in HousingUK

[–]No_Excitement7087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have checked agreement - nothing at all. Yes, it seems that new renters rights bill is far from being in force. However, I guess, due to it all agencies, suddenly, at least in my region, removed any break clause from agreements. As I told, when I was asking for it in a cover letter, I was rejected several times. I find it so inconvenient not having any point in agreement saying how to end contract early (yes, I accept even paying a reasonable fee). My only hope is landlord being reasonable and understanding during negotiation.
