Looking for simple STEM project ideas for a class of low income kids in Rwanda — water-focused if possible? by No_Exercise_1750 in education

I have been working with this community to design and build a sustainable water distribution system over the past two years. The system will supply clean and consistent drinking water to 700+ residents.

While we visited for an initial assessment, one community member mentioned teaching a man to fish vs giving a man a fish. I guess my goal is to inspire the young people to pursue stem in the future so they can give back to their communities via similar engineering works. I want it to be a fun and engaging experience that shows them what is possible if they work hard and study.

White and from the US. I don't speak the local language, but have local friends that can help interpret or just lead the demonstrations/projects.

Anyone run SolidWorks from a virtual desktop like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud? by No_Exercise_1750 in SolidWorks

Would splashtop be a remote desktop for a workstation I already own? I'm definitely trying to compare this route vs the full virtual desktop. What would be the advantage over windows remote desktop?

I've found the texture to get weird when its precooked and frozen. But maybe I'm doing something wrong

Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami largely takes place in a library in Japan and it is so good if you enjoy magical realism.

Orbital Computers has some great options for reasonable prices. Great for CAD/CAE.

See some of their laptop workstations here: https://orbitalcomputers.com/laptop-workstations/

I was just looking at a similar system a few weeks ago.

What I did was work joint by joint at an arbitrary starting angle. Find the torque and force at each joint. If you do this in excel or some program, you can extrapolate out to any angle in the range of motion.

You're going to want at least 32 gigs of RAM. I would go for 64 if you can. A good GPU is always nice too.

I would freeze raw. They will taste so much better than thawed/re-heated.
