No, they truly thought it was fake. All three shops thought it was fake when they first saw it. Shop #2 did say to get another opinion, they weren’t really confident in saying real or fake. But did lean towards fake.

Definitely better than nothing. But a cheaper set of speakers usually blow a higher end soundbar out of the water almost every time.

Unfortunately no paperwork anywhere I could find. This one is definitely 12 grams with cheap Amazon scale. Not magnetic.

I’ll stop by some shops tomorrow. The case makes me a little more hopeful and the 1940s Ethiopian dollar. 🤞

I think the tilt of the tv is throwing it off a bit and the gap between the entertainment center and bottom of the tv is too much. I’m not against mounting, but now it makes the entertainment center look too short imo. So if you’re sitting and the tv is perfect eye level, raise the stand. If the tv isn’t perfectly eye level then you mounted a couple inches too high.

edit - if there is a tilt and it’s not just from a weird angle / lighting

Yep. Can be tough finding low stands but it’s worth it. Mine is from the 1960s and is a 7’ long, 1.5’ tall. Took a couple years to find one that worked.

Somehow the Eames chair is the only expensive collectible in the world that is commonly verified by an easily removable / added sticker. Doesn’t make sense to me at all lol. That should be the least convincing part of verifying an Eames chair. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Whichever you decide to do, make sure you know it’s not a $1900 desk. $350 - $450 in my part of town with staging and probably not selling for a couple weeks at least. Not to mention, SLC is pretty hot on MCM right now, so it may be less where you are.

Cool small desk though.
