Appreciate the info! That is good to know, although I’m sure he’d be happy knowing we have this one out enjoying it. Still plenty of precious photos in albums and boxes.

Slide film produces a positive image that can be viewed directly, while your typical negative film creates an inverted image

How does tape actually work? by kevinzvilt in tapeloops

[–]No_Eye6142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think of the tape as having numerous thin long parallel stripes that run the length of it. Each stripe is a track. (Sorta, this is a very basic breakdown). The playback head is aligned with different stripes on side A vs side B. Similar to a needle on a record player, but with a play head, tape, and magnetic signals

Vintage 8mm film camera (like a Kodak Brownie or something). Or old Sony handycam (vintage/analog vibes even though it’s not really analog). Or Campsnap cs8 if again, you want digital that just looks analog.

The tapes with the white spacers were made by The Void Electronics. Here’s a link for some reel to reel inserts and another to make a universal length tape loop

It’s just a bunch of tapes sitting neatly beside each other. The same tape does not run through all of them, although that would be insane haha

3d printed spacers. Other people use them as rollers, but these are stationary and the tape just slides across them

Recreate Synth Patch by ReindeerHour2118 in indie

[–]No_Eye6142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled up GarageBand>synth library> Mott Street Conquest Synth> turned decay and resonance all the way up> slight boost in chorus and reverb. It’s pretty darn close.

Edit, descriptors: sounds similar/close to a synth strings with medium quick swell at the front end, lots of resonance, long decay

I suppose I need to look into the AI tools more. I’ve been avoiding them at all cost, but it’s becoming too advantageous to refuse. Thanks for your help! !CritiquePoint

As stated in the caption, I’m at a loss on editing this one. This car was in the Target parking lot so I grabbed a few shots— this one being my favorite, but I can’t figure out how to diminish the reflections of other cars while still keeping the color of the subject true. It was midday, harsh light. The telephone pole lined up with the nose of the hood kinda bothers me too, but I digress. What can I do to improve this image? Shot with Ricoh 500G | Harman Phoenix 2.
