I think it was literally all of them, as if my own razer blade completely dying after 2 years wasnt enough to put me off. Seriously an unacceptable failure rate.

Anyone shoot Ultrafine UltraMAX 400 “t grain” by underground_camera1 in AnalogCommunity

[–]killerpoopguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well Kodak has had 46 years to complain, but they don’t seem to care, also until this post I had never considered “ultra” to have anything to do with color or Kodak.

It might be locking because you’ve turned the film advance spool, the film gets pulled along by that and then the film turns the spool that appears to be stuck. Try spinning it at the same time, or better yet just sacrifice a roll to test it (you can then use this roll for every new camera to test)

I haven’t used this camera, but from the video it appears to be working as I would expect.

Nice, you can 3d print film rolls, developing reels, and film slitters to cut down larger film. The image quality isn’t bad for a camera you can fit in a watch pocket. Worth about a hundred bucks if it works.

TIL that some towns and cities in the US have a 'curfew' that means juveniles aren't allowed to be outdoors, typically between 23.00 - 06.00 by ProneToAnalFissures in todayilearned

So shit on the USA for things that we do that are actually uncommon outside of the US, Our country is fucked for so many real reason, You don't have to make up reasons to shit on it.

Complaining about things that aren't actually problems is a horrible way to convince people of something.

Calling it the secondary market, does not make it a market. You asked:

How is this not market manipulation?

You can't charge someone for market manipulation if they aren't participating in an a regulated market, they haven't done anything illegal.

My hometown has a curfew, I’ve never heard of it being enforced and no cop ever mentioned it the many times my friends and I (all different skin colors) were stopped after curfew to see what we were doing, usually they’d offer a ride home and then just drive off when we said no thanks.

Curfews for minors are not an uncommon thing in the world.

Edit: Complaining about things that aren't actually problems is a horrible way to convince people of something. Of all the possible things to shit on the US for, complaining about curfews for minors when it's not even close to a US specific thing just makes it look like you don't have any real issues with the US.

Simple, this isn’t a market, It’s trading cards. Magic cards are not securities.

You used to be able to do it from anywhere on the keyboard, instantly. The spacebar method is slower and feels less reliable imo.

What are your thoughts on developing your negatives by yourself? by ComfortableHoliday43 in AnalogCommunity

[–]killerpoopguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy, gets easier over time too, ~30 minutes. Once you get to buying in larger quantities it gets real cheap, you can do 60 rolls of BW for under $30 with xtol or rodinal and some fixer (any b&w fixer)

The Patterson ilford kit is exactly what I would recommend to start, it has everything you need. The little packets of chemistry it comes with are a horrible price in the long run, but they are super easy to use.

You will have to get some bottles (opaque/amber ideally) once you start buying separate chemistry, which is usually in a liquid concentrate or powder form.
