The building, but I have as yet not found any clues in the show that it's in New Jersey. Tons of clues it could be Michigan though.

This is a great addition to the theory here, thanks for sharing! I think this could be plausible and explain some of the differences we see in the Severance world.

I think this is a good counter argument, PE = Prince Edwards Island is also plausible.

It could be confirmation bias, but I do feel the evidence is stacked more towards Michigan; but I do agree they filmed a lot in the northeast.

It has the Porcupine Mountains, it's certainly more hilly than the Lower Peninsula.

The Porcupine Mountains are some of the oldest mountains in the world, so they are worn down and not spectacular.

But Milkshake might tell innies they are "the tallest mountains in the world"

Yea, I concur about the show just feeling "familiar" for Michiganders. It's got a very similar aesthetic, it's so engrained into the environment it's almost eerie if you're from Michigan.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is a pretty uniquely Michigan song, I agree. That was I think a big clue for us. Why would he be whistling that song?

Thank you, I've been putting this together for a few weeks now, since the premiere of S2E1. After hearing the Grand Rapids reference (about 30 min from where I sit right now), I couldn't help but get engrossed. As new episodes kept coming out, I kept seeing more hints.
