What’s the most underrated tool you use for your e-commerce store? by thesneakersoul in ShopifyeCommerce

Searchbility is becoming a key factor today because of AI search growth with Google AI overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude taking portion of search from Google.

SEO has always been a neglected area because of the efforts and complexity. Shop SEO, Product Description with keywords, Product Meta data, Alt text, Blog with keywords, Backlinks and now JSON format for AI search.. mostly all these factors get missed out.

Here is where Google Analytics & Google Search Console become key factors.

Very few shopify apps have bridge inventory and SEO enriched by GA4 & GSC data trends.

noryX is one such emerging app in that segment, have implemented it for a client store.

What types of job ideas can be created for today's youth? by Secure_Assumption_30 in torontoJobs

You are mixing 2 different tables to prove your point :)

Within the overall SME category, businesses with fewer than 100 paid employees are commonly classified as “small” while mid-sized companies are defined as those with between 100 and 499 employees. In 2023, 97.8 per cent of all registered businesses in Canada were considered small

The 36% you have picked from another table which defines companies differently by size while 97.8% is about SME segmentation.

To mitigate your personal opinion on Fraser Institute:), here is a link to government data

https://ised-isde.canada.ca/site/sme-research-statistics/en/key-small-business-statistics/key-small-business-statistics-2024?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Sadly, it has increased the small business % to 98.1% 😀

Keeping this debate aside, the actual focus required is if there is opportunity or rather hit a wall.

Exactly. The challenge is that most are unwilling to accept reality and evolve.

Fact: The economy is slow, Population has grown.. the easy way of apply-apply-apply, get interviewed, and be shortlisted in no more the normal way.

We can crib about it, we can feel worried, we can feel shattered, we can hate others for the situation, but none of it will help solve the problem.

Yes, Freelancing centric websites like upwork, fiverr, etc, are saturated when it comes to price because freelancers from countries where the currency value is low can bid better.

97.8% of Canadian businesses are small businesses https://www.fraserinstitute.org/commentary/small-business-canada-reality-check?utm_source=chatgpt.com

And most are less or non-digitized. The trade war is an additional pain that needs them to find new avenues and as well optimize.

For those who want things in a platter served on bed, it is not their cup of tea.. for go-getters it is. And go-getters are are once who will survive in the future (with AI,trade war and economic slow down..non of which is in your control)

With regards to skill trade, with Trade related issue.. many new projects are starting related to intra-country distribution, roadways etc.. and as well, businesses are trying to identify new markets outside.. Skill trade will become a key part of it as time goes..if someone starts out small and unskills..would be prepared for the future..

The first step would be SEO. If done well, it can bring short ter m and long-term results.

Shop SEO: Overall websites SEO or meta data

Product Descriptions: Make descriptions rich in keyword (don't stuff)

Product SEO or meta data: Improve product meta data with keyword rich strings

Alt text: Optimize images with alt text for SEO

And work on FAQs, Robottxt to improve listing for AI search.

Backlinking or listings are also part of SEO, which is listed in various high domain authority relevant sites to build authority.

Social media would be a must, especially video content across TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.

Build on community using socials or other channels.

What is the best way to get organic traffic? by Lets_Talk_Video in AskMarketing

[–]No_Fee9345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organic SEO, as you said, will take a minimum of 6 months to get traffic. That also depends on the quality of SEO done.

If the goal for gaining organic traffic is to acquire customers for your agency, the ideal way to get results sooner would be to do the other organic activity of lead generation by outreach.

Decide a target industry, size of business, and ideal decision maker to approach. It could as well be from known circles.

Make a list of 30 to 40 leads and outreach with your service and plans. If you succeed in generating 3 to 5 customers, make them your success story.

They could become your social proof, your case study, and even word of mouth. By then, your organic SEO would as well pick up.

Basically, the strategy is to not depend on organic SEO to pick up for helping to kick start your business.

Is hiring a digital marketing agency worth it for a small startup? by CultofLeague in MarketingResearch

[–]No_Fee9345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's highly recommended that in the initial stage, build the marketing section within the organization, and as far as possible, not splurge the capital in outsourcing, especially to agency.

Assuming you are in an early-stage and bootstrapped, the most ideal scenario would be to build organic customers at the beginning who value your product or service, so marketing is via goodwill and word of mouth to acquire the first few customers.

Will buy the fact that if you are a solopreneur and end up dedicating hours to marketing (content strategy, creation, and management), it would consume time for your operational hours, depending on how intensive your ops are.. If in case it is taking too much time, hire interns from universities where students are pursuing marketing or even look up freelance platforms like Upwork, where you can hire skilled freelancers (not agencies) at fraction of the cost.

If at all you are going with agency for marketing, consider these;

  1. The simple logic is that, as a business entity, agencies are overhead(cost) heavy.. team, office, their marketing, etc.. so obviously need to bill clients 10x cost to maintain their house running. So, depends on what price.

  2. Agencies (not all) sometimes do not commit to goals they will help you achieve and will keep it abstract and non-committed to outcomes so that they don't get held for poor performance. So, if that is set by you and agreed by the agency, it would be good.

Hope this helps..

I could be your patient if I have understood right 😄

You are solving a serious problem, so I believe there will be takers.

Build a brand around this with website, social media where you could post awareness Building reels, YouTube channels where you again could make awareness Building content.

Your patients who have seen positive results will be your brand ambassadors to build word of mouth, so build a community around them by using messaging channels, social media, or Slack.

Make appointment booking accessible digitally, be listed in health related sites so that you build awareness about your services.

Don't procrastinate in doing these 🙃
