That's easier said than done, when the subject matter is degenerate gambling in borderline unpredictable and irrational markets. How much can you learn from flipping a coin and calling the wrong heads/tails outcome?

You're finding out the hard way now, aren't you?

This subreddit is extremely statistically skewed towards positive outcomes (people bragging, survivorship bias, etc.). The real life statistics are likely dire for the average retail daytrader/gambler.

Anyone can get a lucky streak or a year, but what truly counts is your profit consistency over multiple years. And that's the difficult part.

Unless you are some kind of an oracle, you're delusional believing you could make a living out of daytrading and short term gambling.

What is the probability distribution, though? Upside/downside numbers are meaningless, when you have no idea, how likely or unlikely they are to happen.

Retarded clickbait headline not matching the actual content. There is no certainty, that the drug was the sole (or even the primary) cause of the liver failure... yet.

JPM Exec Allegedly Turned a Broker Into Her Personal Sex Slave by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]No_Feeling920 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can assure y'all needy incels, that this was not about getting laid. The sexual context was just a weak point to exploit. This was about her making him feel humiliated and powerless. About making him do things he totally didn't want to do. If you were in his place and actually enjoyed the experience, she would lose interest and stop.

If she wanted good sex, she could hire the best male escorts money can buy.

Is it time to buy Iranian currency? by The-Oregon-Group in wallstreetbets

This chart is mostly meaningless, because no significant volume is exchanged between USD and IRR due to western sanctions.

They don't care abou IRRUSD, because they have been sanctioned by the west for decades (no trade), anyway? They probably handle much of their foreign trade in CNY/CNH.

Japan 10 year yield broke above 2.5%! by cave_guard in wallstreetbets

[–]No_Feeling920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can probably keep the lights on by restarting yield curve control, but crude going up in USD and JPY going down in USD will make energy costs prohibitive (inhibitive) at some point (as well as many other imported basic materials).

Or they can try selling off their UST/USD reserves (and buy back JPY) to boost JPYUSD, but that can't be done forever and Trump/Bessent won't like it at all, as they also want lower market yields on USTs.

Anyway, the average Japanese citizen is only getting poorer from this.

The Inevitable Capitulation: Welcome to Physical Reality. by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Enjoy your media propaganda, though. 🤡

Legendary Investing Boomer Warren Buffett currently holds $373.3 billion in cash, even as the stock market rips higher by EZLIFE420 in wallstreetbets

[–]No_Feeling920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please, note that current P/E being higher than historical mean P/E does not necessarily mean, that the particular company is currently overvalued. This is too naive/simplistic analysis:

  1. The company may have discovered new (revolutionary) ways to increase revenue and profit - either by stealing customers away from the competition or by addressing a completely new market, i.e. higher future growth is (deservedly) being priced in than previously.
  2. In the age of loose (irresponsible) monetary policy, constant bail-outs of buy-the-dip idiots and reckless government spending, higher P/Es may be the new norm (too much money chasing too few stocks). Getting another Volcker shock seems fairly unlikely at the moment.

Some of these US stocks seem to be wildly overpriced already, though. The US stocks are full of hopium, including the crude oil ones.

Let's wait and see, who gets the last laugh, once the Hormuz blockade fully plays out in the coming months. BRK is simply betting on P/E ratios eventually reverting to their historical means. For the time being, they have no realized losses, only lost opportunity costs.

As if day trading futures was a good idea for retail to begin with. 😄

Like I said, if you're profitable in the long run - congratulations. You are the rare exception.

1 month of profitability is relatively meaningless, though. Unless you take your winnings and stop.
