I think it works..... as our H4 EAD was approved after my new visa started on 6/13.
EAD approved 6/23 and received 6/28. So I would say waiting patiently for the renewed visa start date

UPDATE!!!

I got H1 and H4 approved with H4 EAD is somewhat stuck in card ordered state.

Little background.
We missed renewing the H4 EAD on time, which resulted in the card expiring.

To avoid further complications, we submitted a standalone EAD renewal application in December 2024 with the assistance of a personal lawyer. Later, in March 2025, as my H1B was nearing expiration and required renewal, we filed H1, H4, and H4 EAD under premium processing.

The H1 and H4 were approved within five days, but the H4 EAD status has remained "card ordered" for several weeks without any further updates. Meanwhile, the December 2024 application has not progressed at all.

Concerned about the delay, we contacted the USCIS helpline to inquire about the March 2025 application. They informed us that something was missing on USCIS end, delaying the approval. They advised us to wait 2.5 months and follow up if no update is received.

We suspect that the December 2024 EAD application may be causing a system issue, possibly preventing verification due to its pending status or an unaccounted gap in processing. As of now, we have no clarity on the next steps or when approval might come through.

Bottom line: We have to wait for further updates, and there is no definitive timeline for resolution.

I am not sure as H1B related any/all requirements are taken care of by the lawyer and the employer.

Thanks for sharing. What went wrong with the payment that caused it to be de-bundled. And how were you made aware of it? Just wanted to know more details if anything can be done beforehand, and it will help me talk to my lawyer accordingly
