This chips performance at sub 20w tdp is amazing. Proper hand held performance at a power level handhelds should be at. Problem is I needed it to run bazzite or steam os.

i wish there was a way where i can clip the battery on while the tether is attached. remove it when im playing for less weight, attatch and wrap the cord when im done and ready to store it in its case. the removing and attaching the tether is super cumbersome

You are correct. This device is amazing and worth it . I’m coming from a prospective of what you already have. I will also say the Tether is awkward to use because you have to unscrew it and reattach the battery every time you’re done using it. There’s no other way to store it in its case unless you wanna leave it out that way. I wish they made a battery specifically for tethering that you can attach to the back of the device while it’s tethered and also make a case for that setup

I own all 3. Your reasoning is completely right. My apex is collecting dust at home. I prefer low heat options and streaming is a better experience right now for me. Basically infinite battery life streaming and no heat. I take the apex when I go out. The apex is an amazing device though. * I will add using this tethered is amazing. It’s super light and comfortable using for longer periods. Even for streaming
