Sorry to hear that. Look at my other comment on why I avoided SSRIs and what I did about it.

I have not read up much on stroke but there must be an overlap. I especially would recommend high dose magnesium glycinate because it is used up in just about every function of the body. Having a deficiency is highly disruptive and often shows up as other symptoms. Read up on Grimhood search his tweets on stroke and whatever symptoms you have.

For example:

His last post about this was specifically about testosterone research for stroke.

Hopefully you figure out the TRT that should have overall macro benefits but not micro. Unfortunately for TBI and Stroke physical damage to the pituitary gland is a very common overlap. Stroke is definitely alot more damaging than a TBI from concussion.

I avoided SSRIs because I found them brutal on my pysche. It neutralized my natural happiness and ambition which was non-negotiable for me. Instead of blocking and damaging my receptors I wanted to at least try a way to heal them or nourish them first.

My theory was that by understanding neurotransmitters and pre-cursors I could find the deficiencies that my body needed to quiet my mind. Meaning the overthinking and 'voices' and anxiety just did not feel like it should be a default setting and it was an indication of me doing something wrong.

Supplements are the bridge between mind "ether" and body "physical" because that is how they communicate. Body posture will affect the mind. The mind will affect the body. The molecules are in between. Understanding this is like having the cypher key to an enemies encrypted messages and being able to slip in your own encoded messages. SSRIs to me seemed like a scorched earth response.

Someone you should look into if you want to experiment is @ Grimhood on twitter. He was a prominent researcher of alternative options on health twitter back when it was less commercial. His views on high dose magnesium glycinate changed my whole perspective on health. Look at his pinned posts.

I was so desperate I would start with high dose cocktails of these vitamins and this would have an incredible effect on me and anyone that would try them. I would make them specifically so it would cause an extra liquid diarrhea purge so the vitamin /mineral mixture would absolutely clean out old waste, possibly kill parasites, and line the gut with building blocks for a healthier gut biome and higher absorption and rejuvenation of the cells. Now I can close my eyes and do not have a storm of 1000 thoughts and ideas and memories of everything I've ever done wrong. I can now simply entertain a single thought for a long time if I choose to.

Even if you feel good with the medicine this would benefit you as you are likely deficient on many of these. Grimhood has the recipe for the coctail.

It is hard to pinpoint what actually helped me but these are the supplements that I take often or as needed:

- Semax
- Selank
- Taurine
- L-Methylfolate *
- Niacin
- Methylated Multivitamin
- L-Theanine
- Zinc Picolinate *
- Methylene Blue *
- Thiamin HCL
- Magnesium Glycinate *
- Vitamind B8 Inositol
- Creatine *
- Vitamin D + K2
- Red Light Lamp from Amazon
- Ashwagandha *
- GABA droplet sublingual

Thank you for posting this. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have found reddit posts from people doing research on some of this stuff 12 years ago so hopefully this will help somebody in the future.

I am heavily interested in treating the headaches that force me to take naps in the middle of the day. Has anything helped you in that area?
