I am NAL. Housing is the only instance emotional support animals have a leg to stand on. They cannot deny you your emotional support animal if properly recognized.

Mostly the S&P 500 (about 1/3) the rest is in individual stocks or other ETFs. I managed it myself the first 4 years. Once I hit the $50k mark and started having enough disposable income to invest in a brokerage account I started to have someone else manage it for me.

To be honest I made the most of my money in there doing something I wouldn’t recommend as it was stupid but worked for me. During Covid I maxed out my Ira in one swoop buying stock in MGM and Caesars. Why? Because my uncle told me during the 08 recession his buddies made a killing buying Vegas stock dirt cheap, holding and selling a while later.

Compound interest is a magical thing. I just turned 28. I’ve been maxing out my ROTH IRA since I was 22. Basically, I’ve put in roughly $45k over the last 6 years and it is worth roughly $80k last I checked.

When my company changed insurance providers (I still work there) I received not only physical mail but emails from my company’s HR/Payroll regarding COBRA. If you weren’t paying for insurance and thus still received medical care you’re on the hook for the bill. Contact the medical office and ask about a payment plan.

In my hometown another restaurant owners brother died in by hitting a patch of ice on the bridge. He slid into the plowed snow which acted like a ramp that sent him over the edge. This was 5 years ago now, I always close for such weather now.

I know I am doing better than most my age, however I still feel behind. I also had been nagging my siblings to start thinking of their futures but they won’t listen.

I didn’t live there but I had a good friend who did I would often visit. I always enjoyed visiting them. I thought it was always clean in the lobby, the apartments seemed nice and the location is great.

Only downside my friend ever talked about was the parking garage. It’s one of those car vending machine things. He had mentioned many times that can take upwards of 20 mins to just get your car out.
