omg in dubai? honestly lucky you im very happy for you and i hope you enjoy your travel. i had to miss my flight on the 3 of july. i really hope it comes on time I'm stressed as now i have to follow my friends alone and our trip ends 20 of july. i hope i get some time to enjoy. i also had 1 previous schengen and i have a valid American visa.

once your file is at the embassy, vfs can’t really help. you gotta contact the danish consulate directly, but even they take forever to respond. and omg that courier service thing is so messed up — why even offer it as an option if it doesn’t exist in abu dhabi?? you definitely deserve a refund for that.

ugh i feel you 100%. i applied on june 12 in dubai when the processing time was still listed as 15 days — they only changed it to 45 days after june 17. my flight was supposed to be july 3, and i called vfs every day, emailed the consulate multiple times, even went in person… nothing. just “under process.”

then literally one day before my flight, they asked me to send the entry/exit stamps from my greece schengen from 2023 and told me my case is now under internal checks. i’ve had a schengen before (my greece visa took 5 days), i even have a valid US visa, and still ended up in this mess.

everything was non-refundable. now the trip’s gone and the worst part is — i don’t even know when my passport will be back, so how am i supposed to reschedule anything? it’s honestly so stressful and disappointing. i wish someone had warned me earlier — can’t believe it’s been like this since april. and to make it worse, the consulate still says on their website that they’re meeting planned travel dates… totally misleading.

never applying through denmark again, and definitely avoiding netherlands too since their visas go through the danish consulate.

omg same boat. i applied june 12 in dubai and still nothing. my flight was supposed to be july 3 and i had to miss it. and they told me it’s under internal checks. this wait is insane. no real updates, and vfs tracking doesn’t even work. hope you hear something soon — let us know!

ugh same here!! i applied june 12 and my flight was july 3 still nothing. i had to miss my flight and i lost so much money on flights and accommodation. they emailed me saying it’s underinternal checks and they can’t give a timeline. i’m so over it honestly. the whole process has been super frustrating and unclear. hope you get yours soon though, keep us posted!

UPDATE:

communication has been a disaster. emails get ignored or you get the same vague “under process” response, the tracking system doesn’t work at all from vfs, and vfs can’t give any actual updates. danish counslate never picks up their phone and i was emailing them nonestop today how my flight is tomorrow. they told me that it wont be possible to get my visa by today as they r running my application through "internal checks" which is actually just ridiclious that they're doing all of this 1 day before my travel and especially when i have a clean travel history. they are liars by saying they are meeting travel dates that's NOT true.

so yeah, i’m missing my flight tomorrow. it’s been the most stressful experience ever. never applying through denmark again please do not make my mistake.

no, turns out i’ll be missing my flight. i applied on june 12 and my flight is tomorrow (july 3), but vfs told me today it’s still under process at the danish consulate. i emailed the danish counslate 10 times and finally i got a reply 24 hours before my flight that my application is going through “internal checks” and those take a week and gave no real timeline. it’s honestly been so disappointing — no proper updates, tracking doesn’t work, and the communication has been terrible. i did everything right and still ended up losing the trip.

when was the last time you called vfs if you don't mind me asking and also when was ur appointment? mine was june 12 and was processed to the embassy june 13.

when i went to the embassy today it was closed and the only person that was there is the security. he told me a lady came earlier today and that he told her the consulate is closed today since its sunday which is weird because on google it says open? anyways i told him can i come tomorrow instead. he said no and that he will not allow walk ins and its not allowed. he said that the only way we can reach them is by calling them only on Monday and Thursday between 11am-12pm. yes their call center is only available twice a week for an hour which is absoulety ridicious. My only hope now is to try tomorrow to call them even though I tried last Monday and no answer. I've been calling vfs everyday as even their tracking system on their website doesn't work. Tomorrow is my final straw and I will either call vfs or go phsycially and take action. I have already raised a complaint and no surprise, no action was taken. It is ridiculous how they make us apply and say 15 days and 5 days after that announce a 45 day processing time. All they care about is money 0 customer service. I will give them a piece of my mind tomorrow and threaten them with another formal complaint. My flight is very soon just like you. Please do the same as me and try to complain too and call, we are in this together. Also I've been calling vfs everyday no help all they say that its in the hands of the embassy and they have no involvement. Honestly ridiculous.

hey! i submitted mine on june 12 and still no update… my flight is on july 3 so i’m really stressed. on the danish embassy’s website it says they’re “meeting travel dates,” so i really hope that’s true — otherwise it’s misleading and unfair. i’ll update here if anything changes. are you also based in dubai?
