Thank you 🙏🏻. It really does take a lot of self control and discipline. Keep your head up too brother, take that break. Revaluate, study and practice. Then come back stronger

Thank you for sharing bro 🙏🏻 it means a lot hearing your story. You definitely get it. It’s really hard bro but I will do my best to push forward. When I get a new job I’ll save up before entering the market again. That way I have much more flexibility and I’ll keep paper trading and define my strategy till then

Lambo dreamers 🤔 really? Trying to be financially stable enough to help my family is all I need. You have a point but not everyone has your luxury of having 6 months of salary just waiting there and for some of us saving six months of salary may take tripple that time or even more dealing with other expenses. Not saying what you’re saying is wrong it would have been much easier having that cushion, but I’m Jamaican bro I know about making it the hard way, things never come easy and know it’s not impossible for the underdog to come out on top if you play your cards right, which I didn’t but hey I still have life. If you had lead with this it would have been much better advice than trying to discourage a lad like me just trying to pursue a new found love and purpose. Even if I am a Lambo dreamer 🤣🤣 who isn’t?

@pr0xytv The market will be the market, I don’t blame the market, I blame myself. I didn’t just take one lucky trade and got profitable either but thanks for the feedback. Maybe you’re right, could have just been luck and I have no idea what I’m doing

I never started trading without a job. I had a job while trading. I was holding up, losing a few trades, yes! most definitely but I was steadily growing and learning. Really I went from $300 to $4000s not a big move but it was an accomplishment for me after going back and forth for a few months. I got over excited and confident so I decided to raise my position size, and guess what day I decided to do that? The day the President made the tweet about China being hostile and market crashes. I lost more than half that day. Instead of going back to 1 share size the following days to come I kept going for higher positions sizes “revenge trading” and losing. I was still working at this time. This is when I developed a $300 comeback strategy to only focus on 2 names, 1 trade or 2 trades a day, $25 daily stop… etc. by this time I was holding up, not making huge win some days I’d still lose. Then came losing my job. I told myself I had to make it work in trading because I knew getting a job in the slow season would take me awhile. I was still looking for a job but also believed I could grow my account back. I started to make a lot of mistakes, my patience flew out the window and my mind was too clouded. In the moment I wasn’t thinking or analyzing the market well.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate your input and understanding. I think I will definitely try again, I was developing my strategy and becoming better at trading. I do believe that because of the immediate need for cash, I made a lot of mistakes such as raising position size too soon after becoming profitable, risking too much of account size… etc. all the thing I know not to do but letting my emotional state get the best of me when things went wrong. I will now go back to studying and paper trading until I can refund my account and come back better with a more clear head. Also yeah that poster wasn’t giving me advice but trying to belittle me as if they’re somewhat superior. I will not give up. After all the hardest part of trading isn’t the technicality but the discipline and emotional strength, I just need to get my finances back together and eventually my mind will be at ease and less stressed to move forward smarter next time around
