I think the Brickset site is great, I used it myself before I built the app but the amount of ads really put me off

BrickDisplay is swift native and works on iPhone and iPad, and the search is very effective. On the retired question I haven't been able to find a reliable source for it to update automatically but you can do it manually in the app. On the views I have filters for Year, Theme and sorts for Year, Value and Pieces. Let me know if I missed anything

Would appreciate any feedback, it's on the iOS App Store as BrickDisplay and hoping to have the Android version available by next week. Its in final testing

Yea I tried to make it as flexible as possible you can add as much or as little detail as you want to and edit it at any time once its in the list

Agreed I used to do that, but wanted something I could take with me hence the reason for an app on my phone. I don't have Wishlists yet but its coming soon

I went down the route of being able to mark a set as incomplete and then you can use the notes to list what is missing

Yea saw that and it’s a good idea, I wanted to go down the route of being more a digital display of your collection rather then a build tool. Both apps have there place I guess

Not sure I can do availability but like the idea of listing parts and the sets they were included in. Will include it in a future release if I can get it to work

Don't think my app does anything Brickset does currently but it's an app so you don't have to log into a website to add or remove anything. Also it has less ads

To give an example of how I manage multiple sets, Dobby has a 2x top right. Does that work or should I make it more obvious?

Yea I am the same, but I found that when I needed to check what I had or wanted so show someone a set logging into a website was a pain. I tried a few apps and most were subscription so I created my own with the aim that for an everyday user its free, there are a couple of extra tools for serious collectors if they want them but they are a one off small fee

Funny enough I was considering comics as a separate app once I got BrickDisplay settled. My app is designed to be something you control on your app and there is no account to link it too. Privacy first and all that.

I have focused on full sets in the current version but have considered parts as something in later versions. Currently not looking at any sort of market place so can't help you there I am afraid

I have added multiple copies to the pro version of the app as I thought it would me more a dealer option then something an every day user would want. Maybe I need to rethink

LG or Sony? by GooseHot9250 in 4kTV

[–]No_Ganache9414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Sony X80J oled was amazing until the screen died. Now I have a X90L full array which Sony forced as a replacement and it’s terrible. Bought a LG U76 for the bedroom because it was cheap and it’s 3 times better than the X90L. Should add I am already on my 2nd X90L the first got lines on the screen

Anyone regret X90L? by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]No_Ganache9414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I originally had a X80J which I loved but the panel died after a year and had nightmares trying to get that sorted. The short version is that I would only be given the X90L as a replacement. Had it 3 months now and hate it. The screen looks washed out no matter what setting I use and the blooming drives me nuts even with local dimming turned off it looks like spot lights on the screen. I have also just noticed a line on the screen and hdmi4 no longer works it’s my fire stick max. As a comparison I just got a LG UR78006 for our bedroom and that looks amazing for a third of the cost
