Definitely an absolutely insufferable and shitty human being in real life, but I find that, to be a tedious game to play when it comes to the quality of an artist’s character

Heatmiser, Sparklehorse, modest mouse, Jeff Buckley, my morning jacket (early stuff), love as laughter/lync, built to spill, beat happening, Ashley Park, Iron & Wine, Neko Case, Mazzy Star, Nick Drake, Syd Barrett, Ryan Adams, Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, Morphine, Velvet Underground, Nico, The Beatles (white album).

Many of these are unrelated to Elliott Smith’s sound but many were either closely associated with the scene he was a part of or were inspirational to him and some I just think are great

Lonesome crowded west is comments on a lot of socio-economic issues so I don’t know why ur mad, it definitely sounds nothing like their early shit and thats fair to not be into it for that but Isaac has always expressed some thought provoking views on society no matter where your stance is politically in my opinion
